Well at 6:00 pm the Multiplayer map packs are going to be downloadable, and buyable. Will you buy it though? It says the map pack to download is 11.99, but the thing I want is to have each map divided like
Backwash 4.99
Relic 4.99
etc, etc., because some maps will be boring and pointless. So here is another question, what do you think about them? Post answers and such.

Im probably going to buy them... I dont get to play much when im in school but during the summer... YAHOOO!!!!

BTW: I relly think they are all going to be fun

Relic and terminal are both going to be good assault, slayer, and CTF matches while the other ones will be good custom gametype games example Backwash is really dark... Great for hiden seek

W00t the maps are out now... Now I just need to wait for my dad to come home so I can tell him Im buying them... He has the credit card...

I already got the maps They came out at 6:00 AM, not 6:00 PM. And no, so far, none of the maps are boring. I actually haven't played around with Elongation yet, but the other 4 are just ... great. Try FFA Snipers on Relic, or Ninjanaut on Back Wash. As for Gemini and Terminal, I haven't played any games on them, just checked around. Gemini is like the High Charity campaign level, and Terminal seems like it'll play similar to Zanzibar (Probably also good for Snipers).

I have already tryed to download them, But it keeps giving me an error saying it failed and I won't be charged for the transaction. And I have been trying evrey hour to see if it would work.

OMG!! I told my friend that the train in Terminal is just for decoration so he stood on the tracks, I shot him once, and then the train hit him and I got the kill! ing hilarious, he fell for it all!! Tomorrow the Map Pack is released in stores. I don't have Live so I might get that. There's supposedly a movie on it so it's ok with me.

My thoughts on all 5 maps

Backwash - The setting is just like one of those halo1 missions where you first encounter the flood (outside, before entering the underground station or w/e). Very dark map, much darker than warlock and maybe just as dark as waterworks. Pretty much symmetrical and offers nothing special really. What's cool about this map is that it has the sentinal beam weapons on the map. Of the 5 maps this is my least favorite.

Elongation - The smallest map of the map pack. Very symmetrical and is really really fun. I like the moving floors on the ground that carry those big boxes so that you can jump on them and go to the next floor. This is probably my favorite map of the map pack.

Gemini - Before I played this, someone told me it was like Midship. True, kinda, but not really. The map is set in a covenant area, like the High Charity mission, and has tons of doors; might be confusing at first. I kinda like this map, since it sure offers much creativity in design.

Relic - Set on a rather big island. I thought this was just an OK map, since it really doesn't suit my style. It's very open and there's this big structure in the middle of the map where underneath it there's this little thing where you can open up a two-way teleportation. The size of this map is sort of like Zanzibar.

Terminal - A big map, but not that big. I like this map alot, kinda. The trains in the middle of the map are pretty cool. If you stand on the railroad tracks and a train hits you, you'll die and a message will say that the "guardians" killed you, lol. It might be a bit confusing at first but after a while I'm sure you might get use to it.


Overall: Good maps, but i still think my favorite maps have got to be Turf and Lockout

August 30th... I could not wait that long so i was like eh what the heck and downloaded it. Turf and Sanctuary at first costed $5.99 whereas this map pack costs 11.99 for 5 maps. It's a good deal compared to the last one.

Favorite: Terminal
Least: Backwash

BTW: Basicaly anytime you die by something other than another player you will get killed by the guardians...

Yea that's happened in other maps before... Can't remember which ones but i did get killed by the "guardian."

Almost everyone i know doesn't like backwash. Most of them also think relic is the best. IMO that game is ok but I'd still prefer the other maps.


These 5 maps are good in general but i dont they seem to have the same "star qualities" like the maps Turf or Sanctuary.

ADDITION:
It also sucks how whenever I play on team Preview, they never play those new maps. It's always sanctuary, turf, warlock, and other maps. Get's so annoying

hey if u go to bungie.net they made more news . They said they're going to make more playlists. They are;
Team Preview, and Rumble Preview. They are meant for the new maps, but the bad news is, there is a rumor that they are going to reset stats , but we'll have to wait on Next Monday.

I have finally got the maps to download, I read on the xbox forum's, That there were 5000+ people trying to download them at the same time.

I love relic, Only because it has the glowing ball floating around while it is singing. I kept chasing it with my needler and shooting it at the same time, And it wont die .

I already know how to superjump in 3 of the new maps. And I know how to get out of Gemini .

That map is backwash; the one with the oracle flying around singing in the dark swampish area. Relic is the sorta big island map with a huge structure in the middle of the map.

has anyone went into the water on relic... I was like lets go!!! then I realized That you cant see through the water and I went off like a 5000 foot drop to the botem of the sea... Sheer drop too...


Terminal Is jsut the best... People geting hit by the train never gets old... And its really funny I've never been hit by the train unless it was on purpose... Here is the hint which ever way you are runing on the tracks. The train always comes at you from the left so just walk on the left then if you see it coming jump to the right then back over and continue...

Of course not that I'm not giong to buy it, because I got 4 maps free from the Download Content (Containment, Warlock, Sanctuary and Turf) and probably I would buy the other 5 maps or wait August 30 to get em.

Favorite: Terminal
Least: Lockout

Oh yeah, I've seen videos about the 5 maps, where the weapons are and how is it like or where you start at. If you goto RvB's site, you probably have seen them.


If the train killed you, is it the guardian? Show me a list how to get killed by the guardians. (I already got a couple)

My favourite Halo 2 map is Relic.

And my least favourite map is... Collosus and Burial Grounds. Evrey time I play at those two I get owned.

What you dont like Lockout??!?! That's like the best map out there aside from Turf (for me at least)


Mose of those would be suicides. The huge spinning wheel thing in Zanzibar is also the Guardian thing i think.

The only thing I'm good at Lockout is jumping around with far jumps, hard jumps and tactical jumpings, I killed a lot of people by doing that. But that's the only thing special for me in Lockout.
