Ex. "I wonder if bla-bla-bla?"
I wonder is saying that you wonder, not asking someone else if you wonder. WHY is it considered correct English?!
"You call down the thunder, and reap the whirlwind/now reap the whirlwind/now you reap the whirlwind."
Damn annoying. Why can't people get it right?!
"You call down the thunder, 'n' I'll reap the whirlwind."

"The siege tank is funny when he goes 'dun-dun-dun-dun-dun!"
Okay, not a mistake, but it does sound stupid, right?

I always thought the ghost said:

"You call down the thunder, now meet the whirlwind"

I think "meet" would be it. Reap doesnt fit in the sentence really.

This is ENGLISH.
Whoever the hell said that it's gonna be used properly? With the common stupidities, shortcuts, misuses, etc. of various words, something like that could happen.
I mean, if you played a Video Game, and killed a censored.gif load of enemies with your machine gun, it'd be called "quite a reap".
Reap is sometimes used to mean stirring up.
Besides, if you replaced "reap" with "meet", it would make a LOT more sense to change it to:
"You called down the thunder, now meet the whirlwind."
I believe the "You call down the thunder, 'n' I'll reap the whirlwind" is some kind of refrence to nukes. Don't ask why, I just think it is.
Besides, whenever I hear him say that, uit sounds exactly like what I said, to me atleast.
DT agreed that it sounds like "reap".
"So U_B's crazy... Bleh "
True,(not only is it true, but I'm proud of it, obviously), but insanity is not a basis for incorrectness, except in the case of dellusional/illusional/some-other-distortion-in-physical-and/or-mental-perception...

Reap in that sense is an allusion to "reap what you sow." Therefore, since you called down the thunder, be ready to reap the consequences.

for example, if a farmer were to neglegte his fields, he would reap a bad crop.
if he were to take good care of his fields, he would reap a good crop.

In this sense, this allusion is meant to say that if you mess around, be sure you are ready to face the concequences.

and that is my english lesson for today.
Tune in tomorrow when I go over comma splices and other punctuation mistakes! ^_^
