Do you think that there are better games out there than StarCraft and BroodWar?

Please give reasons and/or examples.

What are you stupid? Of course not. SC and BW are the only games that exist. What's this Halo map people keep going on about. And I've never seen anyone in op xbox. Wtfux0r?

I'm just wondering what you all think, but I think we all know what he thinks well enough.

Depends on your perspective.

When I'm in the mood to just sit back, relax and take it slowly I play Morrowind.

When I want fast paced gaming along with a bunch of crazy people from SEN I play BroodWar.

When I have got lots of time on my hands I play WoW.

I agree with beer... Sometimes I want some stratigic games then I will play BW, GhostRecon2, RaibowSix3, Splintercell

Other times if I jsut want to kill things or fool around I will play Halo2...

Alright, my honest opinion is that I haven't found another RTS game I like more than Starcraft. Games that rank right behind it are Homeworld and Myth, however. I refuse to say that I like or don't like games from other genre's more.

4 player Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles, while expensive to do, is an unforgetable experience. The amount of cooperation, coordination and interaction is incredible. It just has something that Half-Life, Halo, GTA, or Jade Empire can not touch.

No other game right now can beat Starcraft or Broodwar. This game is just simply a classic classic.

Obviously anyone that posts @ SEN should say there are no games better than SC. If they choose otherwise they should be shot for being nonbelievers Lol

No other game comes remotely close to Broodwar in popularity besides CS. That has to say something. Also, the fact that after 7 years there are still new strategies, and players are still becoming beter, shows the incredible depth of this game.

Yea, yet even though SC has incredible depth, many other games can be fun as well, but I think not as replayable as SC is. You can play SC over and over and it will be different, because of the RTS element and playing against people. Other games get old after a few plays.

Exactly. It's this level of depth that has kept the game alive and popular for this long.

You do know that CS and SC aren't the only multiplayer games right? Other people play other games too, and they can be just as much if not more fun than SC.

Name them They are probably good games, but I mean they will probably get old faster than SC, I mean are they even as old as SC is? Do they have as much depth? Do they have PROFESSIONAL players? Are their games broadcasted on TV?

Yes, after 7+ years the game still has over 30k+ people on The US east and West gateways and about 90k+ people on the asian gateways. That DEFINATELY says something about how great SC is.

And what says the most about SC is that SC sites like us are still up and going with about 3000+ members (most of which are double accounts and inactive)

I'd agree that SC is a fun game but there ARE fun-ner games out there.

But SC has the highest replayabilty factor.
I get bored of other games very quickly.
SC is still fun.
Cept the maps are starting to suck. (The ones not from SEN that is.)

That says a thing or two about those "professional" players. The closest thing we have over here is G4TV, and that sucks as a channel. Actually, I've seen some Call of Duty and SOCOM rounds on G4, but that's it. No 24/7 live coverage here, because I guess we're not interested enough. I think I know the answer! The Korean governments have allowed no game but StarCraft and crappy games into the Koreas! It's a plot by North Korea to make the world a suckier a place!

Still, how much money do you want to bet that when SC2 comes out, no Korean goes and buys it because they don't want to move away from the original?

No game is still better than SC Lol the only thing good about North Korea is that they play SC lol! Even if they do try to nuke us...

The people on G4 are not proffesional, and that channel is the most pathetic channel I have ever seen. All they do is try and prove they aren't nerds, which makes them even lamer.

I can't tell if you are joking about your Korea comments, but you do realize that they play in South Korea, right? You know, the capitalist one?

Yes, when you state something untrue to back up an arguement you know you've lost, it usually does matter.

Also, it seems that you care about this more than I do; you even make a thread full of unfounded attacks on the game this website is dedicated to.

This website is dedicated to StarCraft & BroodWar map making, not the games themselves. I suggest you take another look at it.

Oh, and the only "arguments" you can refute are the ones that I offer in jest, but you take them literally everytime. Obviously, as a logical person, I expect you to look at how ideas are phrased and to come to the logical (which you profess to have an endless amount of logic) conclusion that I was indeed jesting. But no, you make yourself seem like a clueless fool, and you beam about it.

I care about this because I'm trying to talk some sense into you, but I'm so very close to stop trying because you are more stubborn than my very own father.

1. That doesn't matter whether it is dedicated to the game in full, or just to part of it.

2. You have had only one arguement that was joking, but since none of your arguements make sense, I decided to take 15 seconds to respond to it.

3. You are 16 by your own admission, and you think you're king of the world. However, (as is often the case), you completely overwhelmed when trying to argue. I consistently prove you wrong (usually with quoted evidence) in various threads. You make your own side look bad.

1. Oh yes, that is a very important fact you would like to overlook.

2. Make that two, and you proved the jokes wrong, but nothing else.

3. Usually opinionated quotes - not cold hard facts (with the exception of the 100,000 morons watching a Brood War match).
