We've all experienced the exasperation of seeing our most anticipated games pushed back farther and farther. In some cases this has been beneficial, such as with Blizzard, and others like Doom 3 creates high (some would say unreasonably so) expectations. In the case of the latter, the long development cycle does seem unjustified, for anyone that played the alpha that was leaked some time ago, there doesn't seem to be such a difference in between the two that it would take several years to finish the product.
Opinions on release dates. Should there be an effort made to meet them better or should we follow Duke Nukem's example of When It's Done.
I think that all the "revolutionary" junk they were planning for SC: Ghost is probably OLD by now. They've pushed the game back so many times, but at least they are trying to make it better. It better be good when it comes out. I think it's going to come out by the end of this year.
