I know this is alot so please read this idea.

Ok there has been a lot of beach landing maps out there. I think most of them suck balls and aren't very good. One of the few beach landing maps that I do like is called "WW2: Day of Days".

Now for my map idea I was just thinking of doing Utah beach instead of Omaha becuase every one does Omaha. Now the map will be bigger then usual. The beach will be longer and wider then most maps. The map will have the beach, the bluffs above the beach, the town behind the beach, and rivers and some farm land also behind the beach. There will be hedge rows dividing each road and farm land (tipical normandy terrian).

Now there will be 2 forces I am geussing. Allies and Axis. For the Allies there will be north part of beach and south part of beach and the AirBorne. For Axis there will be Artillary, Beach Defence and Town troops. (not sure yet how to divide force for axis)

The Beach will have the tipical obstacle terrian pieces on it (crystals and such). I was thinking of having the underwater terrian trick(pylon thing) for the begining of the beach where the allied soldiers have to wade ashore. I was also thinking of having the axis bunkers on the bluffs above the beach, normally the soldiers inside the bunker will not have the range to hit the forces landing on the beach, but i was thinking of having invisible invinicible ghosts that are placed under obstacles on the beach and they will fire at the troops landing on the beach. Once the bunkers are taken out the ghosts will stop firing. The ghost wil also be computer controled and won't move. This idea will have the effect that the soldiers landing on the beach are being fired upon by the bunker.

Now there will be also Artillary (ion cannons) in the farm fields behind the town and beach. They will fire every 15 seconds lets say. And they will be hitting the beach at random locations, anything caught in the blast will die (maybe archons dieing for blast effect and scv dieing effect for artillary gun flash)

The German's objective is to hold the beach and town for what ever time. The Allied soldier's landing on the beach's objective will be to take the beach and town. the Airborne's objective is to take out the artillary hitting the beach and to secure bridges and the town.

And to top it all off I would like awsome hedgerow and beach terrian. Wav. from band of brothers and saving private ryan.

Now I would normally try and make this map myself, but my computer is all messed up and I am unable to get/use any editors.

That will make it look awsome and realistic happy.gif.
Another good landing type on is "Normandy Invasion" except its really long and anoying.

You should be able to get like C4 and or like a bazooka (something that can make a boom) so you dont feel so useless when your running up the beach closedeyes.gif lol.

I got some maps im working on already, but i can add ideas to your idea

I know a cool way to make a bazooka with a defiler. You could use a defiler as the unit, and Dark Swarm could be the "Bazooka Target". When the defiler uses dark swarm you could make it so it removes the swarm and sends a scarab to the location of the swarm and explodes at that location.

I don't want you to use my ideas in another map being made by you. I want theses ideas made into a Utah beach map.

if u are recruiting map makers to do this then this belongs in Staredit related & freelancers. sounds cool, i would help but my sc/bw keeps freezing when i play it for like 10-20 mins, same with my editors sad.gif

Dude, this is a WW2 map. lol Utah was a code name for a beach in Normandy.

The map idea sounds good, but I don't really think it will be much different from all the other WW2 beach maps. Though, the invisi,invici, cloaked ghost idea sounds good.

Map Progress is at Terrain construction so there isnt much triggering going on and about, but ideas would really help, so i wont be blinded when adding in triggers. I need some ideas, and the bazooka idea seems good, having a rocket laucnher division but i think its a bit too powerful, any suggestions into making it weaker?
Note: Utah beach landing had the least most casualites.
