Aurgh!, it's really starting to tick me off.

I bet moose, deathknight, cheeze, or whoever else is mutual with me is about to remove me from their friendslist because of this insane lag.

I can play with 1,2,3 other people, but if there is or more than 4 people playing with me, I lag, its a very annoying lag which occurs repeatedly. I've gone to blizzreps on emails, theres like 8 replys between me and a rep still going about it, but no help yet.

Its gotten to the point that it's so sad that I have to create a thread centered on it (at a map making site..)... I scanned for virus's/spyware and they found some with Trendmicro(Must use with IE), stop sign, spybot search and destroy, and lots of other programs, and I 99% know my computer is virus/spyware/adware free now. I don't have any backround programs running besides my antivirus and windows firewall (I have all the ports configured).

My system specs (3GHZ/512MB RAM/150Gig HD) are not a problem... my connection is 56k but I didn't lag before. (This is a new computer, and my last one had the exact same hard drive) I think the packets I'm sending could be a problem..

Over 30 minutes of browsing the web:

Sent: 384,000 | Received: 1,816,400
Compression: 14% | 3%
Errors: 0 0

Is this my lag problem, not sending enough packets? How do I fix that?

Chui, btw, that was my old gateway crap computer I won for free (ePloid thing) and I was lagging because of its .5KBZ Speed/5KB RAM biggrin.gif.. this is a different computer and different lag (a lot better lag though)

Try clearing your Bnet cache. Close StarCraft and delete bncache.dat in your StarCraft folder.

Okay thats alot of stuff!!! Starcraft is known to use up like 56% of cpu prossessing on Xp. But with 3.0 your fine. So its internet, are you using a router? or somthing is just clogging up your bandwith. Are you using any P2P programs? Kazaa? Limeware? Bittorrent? Bittornado? Bitlord? Exeem? Ares? etc..

Also I need people to identify these programs! Please!

No routers, and definetly no p2p/kazaa type programs, they overload your computers with trojans and spyware. Even if they promise not to.

That that has to do with my ISP(I think)..and I googled the IP because HiJack told me too, and it is normal.

And moose, deleteing my B.net cache won't work either, because I'm starting to lag on Unreal tournament 2004 too, when like 4 or more people are playing with me.

go to ctrl+alt+delete and look at applications , processess (maybe you have a lot of stuff running) , networking , and performance.. and that might help?

Nope, I used this task program which gave me a full description of all my tasks..all of them are important, closed out the ones that aren't needed (imaging and other crap that came with the computer) and I said no backround programs are running.. and before running starcraft my computer usage is 0%, after running starcraft its 10%.

ADDITION:
Ok, I got a reply... does it mean anything to you? Didn't mean anything to me:

I had to consult with one of our Network Engineers on this. Here is what he had
to say:
We block ICMP's (pings) after a certain level of traffic is reached. But, it
does not block your game play.
Depending on how much icmp traffic is present at the time, wil determine whether
it gets sent through or not. The limit is ONLY on the icmp traffic.
In short, we allow 8k per second of icmp traffic. If you try to ping something
while there is no icmp traffic, then it will go through. If you try to ping
something while there is already 8k of icmp traffic, then it will block your
ping. Again, the only thing that gets blocked is the icmp (ping) traffic, and
not other traffic.
Hope this helps.
