I just had another brainstorm.

Due to the fact that its summer, I spend my weekend with friends, going out, being at my cottage and staying away from computers. It's the reason I've been missing map nights, and why you haven't seen me there for a month or so.

I thought to myself, this IS summer, and 99.9% of us have time off, so, I introduce to you, the new map night summer day.

Every *Wednesday* now, you can bring in your maps to channel "op sen" and play like theres no tomorrow, starting at 6:00pm, ending whenever you get bored, tired or whatever. This shall be in effect for the months of july and august.

Of course, the saturday day is always on as well. This means *2* map nights per week now!

If you have all year around school, summer school, a job, etc, I encourage you not to come, or to leave extremely early. Map night was intended to be on the weekends so it does not interfere with school, job, or life.

6:00pm on saturday is still really early, even if you are going to church, if you stay until like 10, thats 4 hours of playing.

Look, I had 4 zelots and you had 10 zelots, and 4 goons. I just basically gave up. at that point.

Also, I havn't really played Uberena that much. (Wait, how has Yoshi played it that much?).

Anyway I can micro Uberena style, enough to not completly suck at that game.

I acutally prefer other games at map night.

Is anything other than Uberena and Compstomp BSs ever played now? Every time I've went to one they basicaly reduced to Uberena, BS, and watching people complain about how boring it is because no one's doing anything.

I would like to play infinite shift, but people on SEN tell me it's just another gay bound map.

uberena = not much micro in late game

I played it 3 map nights in a row before, and a few other times when I came on the channel.


Then the value of map night drops. People don't come at all, and so on. Additionally, people have school and stuff during the week, and playing starcraft shouldn't be the ONLY thing you do

Who's best at Uberena (give me a ranking)? Cheeze? Wesmic? Yoshi?

You really can't always tell. Sometimes you just play bad or good. But wesmic and CheeZe are good but you can't tell who is ultimatly better than all the rest. Yoshi...I only played one game with him in it I think.

Well, I go there whenever I can. Because.. that's the only thing I do.
Actually, it's pretty funny that people say they can't make it due to conflicting things. I go to lots of activities at school and such, chess, programming, violin-private, orchestra, debate, blah blah but I still have time for map night.

CheeZe doesn't mass marines, he gets either zerglings, lurkers, dragoons, or high templars. I have variation and micro. Some people have variation, some have micro, I'm the only one with both of them.
