Okay, I was thinking about existing popular maps, and decided to mix a few of them together in one. So here's the basic idea that I came up with:
There are two outposts, with a big chunk of terrain in the middle. The outposts are allied, with one computer player building in both of them (player 7), who is allied to the humans (players 1-6) who also have stuff in the outposts. The human players would be divided between them (probably p1 and 2 in one, p3-6 in the other).

The map would start out like an RPG of some sort, with the computer player building up its forces and going on attacks against the enemies in the center of the map (player 8). The 4-player outpost, would be the "hero" town, where each of the four players is a powerful leader, or someone of high importance, and they would be going on quests and upgrading. The 2-player base would be a smaller town, although pretty heavily defended terrain-wise(multiple wall layers, with locking gates) and the starting objective for them is that they were recently attacked by something (haven't decided what the enemies will be) and have to re-build their town. So players 1 and 2 are building defenses and traps and repairing etc. with the help of player 7(CPU).
While all this is happening, suddenly the 2-player base gets attacked hard by enemies, and now they're under siege. So for them, it turns into a resident evil/starship troopers type map.

The 4-player base is now in charge of opening a passage through the hordes of enemies in the middle and getting inside the other outpost to protect them. The thing is, that they only have so long before their allies can't defend themselves any longer (run out of resources, ammo, or just make a big mistake). And it's not over when the heroes get there, either.

So the heroes succesfully make it inside their allies' base, and are now fairly easily cutting down the attackers at the gates, when the other (originally 4-player) base gets attacked. So by now, if the players have half a brain between them, the defenses will be pretty well rebuilt, and the heroes will have to go rescue a ton of civilians fleeing from the other base, and return before the defenses are overrun again.

I haven't decided alot of the specifics yet, but in any case, i need someone experienced in terraining (and prefferably AI) to assist me in this endevor (I
know I spelled that wrong

). Any comments or suggestions will also be very much appreciated.
ADDITION:
Oh, and this will also have the option of temporarily controlling the buildings of your computer ally for building purposes (bunkers for defense, obviously).
ADDITION:
Come on! Just say something, somebody! Everyone ignores all my ideas!
