<Share your favorite gaming habits>
Here's mine.
1, TV-like gaming schedule. For example,
Sunday: 2D Adventure/RPG
Monday: 3D Sports
Tuesday: 3D Real-Time Strategy/Puzzle
Wednesday: 3D 3rd person Action/Adventure
Thursday: 3D non-real-time Strategy
Friday: 3D 1st person Action/Driving
Saturday: 2D Puzzle/Strategy
-This schedule was designed for non-holiday gaming, in which case I have 30min--1hr gaming time everyday.
-On weekends I play only 2-Dimensional games.
-I don't play 2-dimensional Sports, Action, Driving(if there exists).
-I don't play 3-dimensional RPG.
2, E6 schedule.
For the idea to 'double' E3, I created by own "E6" which was held every year. Both in 2004 and 2005 E6 are held in summer. On summer holidays you cannot just play one genre of games within one entire day. So the TV-like schedule wouldn't work. You need to switch from one genre to another every 2 hours or so(which is the basic E6 schedule).
You can reply this thread by answering some of these questions concerning “gaming habits”.
1,When do you read FAQs/reviews of the game you play, when you start or when you get stuck? Why?
2,How often do you rest/stretch body when playing?(Rest here means being away from computer/console.)
3,What kind of gaming environment do you prefer? Light or dark? Quiet or noisy? Close to nature or deep inside the city?
4,How often do you change your gaming environment?(when you have several houses to play inside)

I read FAQ's and reviews of the game I play when I really get hooked on it and there's a good story and I want to find out more of the game. Like after I got stuck on starcraft, I wanted to find out as much about it as I could.
When playing Starcraft I take breaks every once in a while when I'm in a channel and nothing is going on, or like after a few games I just played. Though most of the time I'm still in the room with the computer not too far away.
I prefer a good light and a quiet environment with my headphones on, though I keep the TV on so I can hear it a little bit. I don't care if it's close to nature or in the city as long as I'm not bothered.
I don't really change my gaming environment, 90% of it is in my room, except on the weekends when I go to my dads apartment, and rarely I go to my friends house and play games there.
Dont really have a schedule for playing games just play what i feel liking play that time.

Well durring the school year gamming is usually on weekends and after all other things are done. School is much more important that gamming. But usually during the summer I play games when I feel like playing games. When I'm bored basicly. But now most of the games have gotten boring so I just read.

I've only read one FAQ, and that was because Morrowind was taking so

long I wanted to know how close I was to ending.

My eyes start to bleed if I play more than an hour.

Dark, and I don't care about the rest.

All I do is play what I want, when I want. I may also look up strategies on the Internet and watch TV for more strategies, and I also read gaming magazines for codes <Just in case I want to have fun>

1. When I get stuck, because I want to get unstuck
2. Every 2.4 hours
3. Light, quiet, nature
4.

Hmmm. My day consists of pretty much the same thing.
Start out with web-browser games (KoC and Ogame), then move onto some warm-up with Call of Duty. After that some StarCraft, writing, mapping, Call of Duty, StarCraft, United Offensive, check up on web-browser games, and finally Runescape from maybe 2:30 am until I go to sleep.
1. I read the manaul on how to move and fire, and how to defeat the enemys, Sometimes it says where the weak points in armor are, Etc
2. I like to play in the dark with full sound up. Playing horror games (Man Hunt)
3. I play when ever and where ever i can

Third time, and again, its a different person you plagarize everytime. Unless you have proof of expressed permission to use their words without citation, that's plagarising, a federal offense. Thank you =)
1: I dont read em. unless i at barber shop getting a haircut he get game pro..
2. when i feel like it.
3.quiet and dark. so i can hear and see better.
4.never
I read gamefaqs before I even play or see a game in stores. I read FAQs to find out more about a game in addition to the reviews, because it helps me find out more about what the game is like.
I usually buy a gaming magazine that tells all about a game, Before I buy it. I just don't want to go out and buy a random game without knowing nothing about it. Also, If all my friend's said they like it, I still woulden't just go out and buy it, If I saw my friend's playing it at there house/my house, Then I would see if I really liked the game.
I just pick a game, play it when I feel like it, and stop when it get's boring, if I have to do something else, if I just don't want to play it anymore for the day, or, to quote Ethan from CAD, until my eyes bleed (Not really, just hurt).
1. I don't. Takes the fun out of the game.
2. ...
3. Light doesn't bother me, sound doesn't either since I usually have headphones on, either listening to my cd player or the game sounds.
4. Er?
