Staredit Network -> Staff Lounge -> subforum suggestion for moose zone & more

Okay, my current ideas (with anna) are:

Rename Moose Zone back into anything goes.
Subforum Moose Zone will contain forum games and topics of little interest or little responses needed (such as "what are you listening to" and whatever)
Rename Welcome into Welcome & Status, where current members can put if they're going somewhere, when they're back, etc.

I don't read the Welcome forum, at all, so if you posted you were leaving in there, I would never know.

Anything Goes is a BAD name. People take it to mean what it says. That's why it was renamed in the first place. Let's make another poll if we have to... Moose Zone was the popular demand.

I hate subforums... maybe if they were displayed differently.

Serious discussion... war, president, science, news.
Light discussion (aka anything goes)... technoglogy, computer problems, small talk.
Garbage... Forum games and other

that goes in no other forums.

I prefer this idea. But, we would have to make it clear on the differences on all 3 forums. People are going to be initially confused by the fact that Garbage and Serious Disc. got divided into 3 forums.

Hmm, at IFSZ.net they got a pretty good system going. There's a category for General Chat that has a forum for new members, Advertising, General Chat and Technology/Computer Discussion. The General Chat has four sub forums: Brain Juice (ie, serious discussion), Media Discussion, Forum Games, Sports, and SZ Clubs. Topics that do not fit the sub forums are put in the regular forums area.

Not to say to copy them, because their focus is different from ours (They're an CSS skin site). However, it is more orginized. Long story short, I'd be totally alright with sub-forums in the serious discussion forum. *hint hint.* Then, people can't

about "ugh, we've already gone over God. He doesn't exist. Why do you n00bs keep making these posts blah blah blah..."

Just my two cents. *shrug*
