To be honest...this is something I've been kinda wanting for a long time. I'd like to see a LotR-ish map that is NOT hero-based. Good God, to me LotR-ish is just sending a hero on an op a bunch of times till you win. I'd like to see one where there are free (anyone can take them) strategical locations to hold, such as a bridge or some high ground, and where battles are large-scale and fought with heros SUPPORTING the army rather than carrying it. Maybe you could lower the number of heros each player has and add spells if you'd like, or keep the number fairly high so more heros can support more than 1 army. With more heros defending and offending would be easier. With less, it would be harder although the spells could be good enough to make up for that. Adding other small things that add strategy would be cool too. For example, a building that doubles unit time spawn, yet is harder to protect than say a normal bridge or walled area. You can make more than one of these "effect buildings" with whatever effects you wish. Doubling unit time may be unfair.

Just a few ideas of mine. Use them if you want. I'd love to see it done.
