I just created an account on Bnet and I can't join any channel it says that my account is muted! Why is it that way and what can I do? But I can join the games!

If someone abuses their CD-key by hacking/being abusive etc., then it may get muted (you can't talk or anything except in games). If you use that CD-key, then you get the same restrictions as the person who abused it, as b.net assumes that you're the same person.

Go to battle.net and go to to password recovery, give them your muted CD-key and they will give you a new one.

Get a cdkey changer and a working cdkey and change it, thats what i would do.
Wow i didnt no they did that, Im gonna go and try to get some of my keys unmuted
Like the only time a problem has to do with ur account, is if they ban your account for loading/flooding. Otherwise they'll be gay and void/mute ur key.

A cdkey changer is a little thing that u can download( not made by blizzard, of course) and u can change your cdkey by enterening a new cdkey into were it says, and it changes it to that for u. That way u dont have to re-instal SC to change your cdkey. You can get CDkeys from ppl on b.net n stuff. or if one of ur friends used to play sc once, but doesnt anymore, ask to borrow his.

THe last time I got muted for no reason....long time ago I wrote to them and they unmuted me. I might have done something else too but the end was that I got unmuted

Technically it IS a hack, but I put it in the same class as BWChart and PenguinPlug, they're hacks that hurt no one, nor annoy no one, nor do they change the effect of gameplay or the outcome of the game, Battle.net reps said they won't ban people for hacks such as these considering they have other, more dangerous and game-altering hacks to worry about.

I googled this changer and fond another cdkey! And it works fine. I am not muted anymore and I am really happy
