Staredit Network -> Ideas -> Armored Core (Arena Based)

I had a thought a few days back, why whenever some1 made a AC type game, no one ever thought to have an arena in it? The arena in the game is practically the best part about it, sometimes better than the missions.

My idea is this, There are 2 major companies you can work for that you choose in the start, everyone starts with the same ac and parts but later on you can buy the pre-built ACs (arms, legs, core, head, R arm unit), (the lighter, smaller ACs would have a smaller carrying capacity) and buy other various back parts to add on to it, each with its own weight based on how much ammo and power it has. To fire the certain parts you could have a build-unit-to-fire- system that would be easy to make. There could be 15-35 different AI ACs (that you can attack, but the comp controls, using triggers) and yoou could kill the various ACs for extra money, but only will get money for the first 5 times you kill it, or you can go head to head with whoever is on the other corporation. As the game seconds tick on, maybe every 10-15 mins a new part or new AC design would come in the shop.

As i know myself to be, I would start this map with high hopes but get bored with it after an hour of work, as i usually do... feel free to do what you want with it.

I think it would actually be quite interesting, and have considered making such a map, if anyone does decide to make it, use the different unit sizes/damage types to represent light/heavy ACs, heavy ACs most often have good shell and bad energy defense, while lights generally have bad shell and decent energy defence.

Just wanted to point out that you have to kill certain ACs before you can adavnce on to the next.

Also if any1 would be interested in making this map i would gladly help with the assembly of the ACs and other various parts of it. I also have some more ideas but i see no point in posting them right now since no1 is interested.
