It just seems rather close minded... Few limitations to Warcraft 3 UMS... One annoying limitation is file size limit and not being able to delete sounds you put in. But the thing that's really annoying is that it's complex just to do simple things, like making a scoreboard.

Scoff is a word Alpha, even if he just corrected himself, it wouldn't have been that hard to figure out. I don't like WarCraft III because the melee in it is downright pathetic, I played for a week and went back to StarCraft, just like everyone else. As for UMS, I guess people just like the theme of StarCraft better... The trigger editor is also slightly more complex, so that may get to them. You'd have to ask one of them who can put their thoughts together.

Yeah I agree the Melee for Warcraft 3 retarded as sugar in concrete...
However, the UMS is great, just not enough good maps out.

I like WC3 some.
I've only ever once played DotA(downloaders always seem to be banned immediately in my experience... >_>) but I didn't care for it, but I do like a Line Tower Defense now and then, and I also like non-rigged versions of Angel Arena, Hero Wars, Hero Line Wars, and a few other arena maps. The Rpg's I've played aren't really all that great.
I think the problem is just what you said; crappy melee, and a lack of good UMS maps, probably because people are too lazy to make good maps. Well, if they're not, then they might make one of those 50MB giant Rpg maps that take twenty hours to download, and take forever to get anywhere in.

I'm supposing what EzDay's trying to say is that short of a "You have been banned from the game" isn't as important as the dialogue popping out and allowing you to take the time to add the creator to your Kill When I Get A Nuke list before hitting the confirm Ok button.

Nobody would give you a hard time for no reason, so why don't you look over what you wrote again, and then another time, and checked over by someone else on a neutral side too just in case, to make sure that you didn't start anything.
People would much rather say stuff funny like "Do your parents beat you?" to create laughter amongst familiar faces, even if it means offending a strange one. The more you take it as an offense, the more flame will follow. It's just how the internet works.

What's annoying about Warcraft 3 is the briefing, how there's no cancel button. However the being able to talk in lag screen is nice.
Actually I have done times where I don't respond and they just do the same bulls***. A simple question is a fricken simple question. If someone can't just see that deserves stomach cancer. But I'm not like that... I would hope for them to recover... So that that they can over come it, and get aids, and crush their very last hope, from all the needles living every day like it was it's last.

I like w3. But i think starcraft is better, the loading and waiting for other people to finish loading is to harsh for me. Plus the editor triigers are hard to do, my brother making a map for w3 his gotten pretty good with the unit editor.

It's just that Warcraft is Starcraft's natural enemy. Sure people give reasons about why warcraft sucks and why starcraft is better, but there's really nothing to discuss, because the majority here plays Starcraft. Also, people just naturally scoff at the mention of Warcraft because of those reasons.

Heh, what's funny here is that people say that auto-cast sucks, but isn't that what the medic does? 
Anyways, I like WC3, the story was kinda cool, the graphics were cartoony so you know it was done totally by the Blizzard here in Southern California. I hate the melee though. I pwned so many times in that simply because I was using speed to my advantage, which no one in WC3 seems to get...

In Angel Arena, I always grabbed Agility based. Same with Hero Wars.
In Hero Wars, I'm the kind of person that starts out weak, but about 6 minutes into the game I can easily beat anyone else in a duel without losing half my health.
