I only know a bit of HTML, and I need to add a guestbook to a site I have. I really have no idea, and I dont think anyone here could help me... But anyone have any sites where I could learn this? (Im lost, i really dont know where to go...)

You can't do it in pure html. You need to write the data to a form of database and use a cgi-interface language. PHP, Python, Perl, there's many. Google one.

Go to http://www.sourceforge.net and search for guestbook. You'll get the highest quality one in no time.

I advise using php, but if u do, remember that u have to install it. Then u can look for something on www.hotscripts.com, but if u download anything remember not everything is free, check the details..

You people helped me alot, but after spending tons of time on your requests, but nothing working on my Mac, I realized that Davesite said something which led me to Bravenet.com... Thats where I got my guestbook. It isnt as great as inserting the code into your page yourself, but it's really awesome and customizable...

Like... Its good for graphic designs and businesses. (Obviously not webmaking businesses... :P) Doesnt get viruses, doesnt crash...
