So I downloaded an extension to Firefox the other day called 'Stumbleupon,' which goes to random interesting webpages, and it turned up some pretty cool personality tests (not those lame ones that aren't scientifically based at all).

I took a fairly long Jungian test (53 short 'questions') and found that I was the personality type:

ISTJ - Trustee

This means that I'm reliable, logical, somewhat cold towards others in most circumstances and have a critical mind.

The following is a description of my personality type which seems pretty accurate:

QUOTE
ISTJ teenagers are down-to-earth types who seek to do the appropriate thing at the appropriate time. If they date, they tend to single out one person and date steadily. ISTJs may be chosen to lead school activities. They generally believe that one should earn one's keep. Even as children, they may request chores that help the family. As teenagers, they tend to have part-time jobs. They money they earn tends to be used for the important practical things in their lives. They do not like to ask their parents for money.

As young adults, ISTJs begin their career training early and find it hard to understand people who start and education but do not complete it. They believe that dropping out is irresponsible. They complete what they start. They may choose large and stable organizations in which they hope to find security and an opportunity to prove their worth. They are particularly realistic about their skills and needs, and prefer to learn the basics before risking something beyond their capabilities. Slow and steady on an unambiguous course is the way ISTJs prefer to navigate through life. As a result, they may select undergraduate programs in college that lead directly to employment.

Take the Jung test!

The other test that I found is called an Enneagram test, and I think it was more accurate than the Jungian test.

It turned out in this test that I am a 'Type 9' personality, which is described as 'The Peacemaker.'

Apparently I am receptive, good-natured and supportive. I am also accomodating of others.
I obsessively try to avoid open conflict, and do not get angry in any kind of normal way. Instead I become stubborn and refuse to co-operate in order to assert control over others. I am lazy when the negative side of this '9' personality takes over.

Take the Enneagram test!

If you have the time (5-10 minutes), I'd recommend taking at least the Enneagram test. The results are really quite shockingly accurate (for me anyway).

I'd be interested to see if us Internet people all have related personality types...

Looks like you've got a good mix there. I was definitely a peacemaker, but thinker and artist were fairly high on mine as well.

INTP - "Architect". Greatest precision in thought and language. Can readily discern contradictions and inconsistencies. The world exists primarily to be understood.

Hey, it even matches what my dad says.

QUOTE
loner, more interested in intellectual pursuits than relationships or family, wrestles with the meaninglessness of existence, likes esoteric things, disorganized, messy, likes science fiction(more that I like fantasy in general, which I consider Sci-Fi to be a part of), lonely, observer, private, can't describe feelings easily, detached, likes solitude, not revealing, unemotional, rule breaker, avoidant, familiar with the darkside, skeptical, acts without consulting others, does not think they are weird but others do(I answered "verytrue" on the "are you weird" question..."), socially uncomfortable, abrupt, fantasy prone, does not like happy people, appreciates strangeness, frequently loses things, acts without planning, guarded, not punctual, pro-weed legalization(I'm neutral on that matter), not prone to compromise(it's others that aren't prone to compromise! wink.gif Yes, I realize the irony of that statement...), hard to persuade, relies on mind more than on others, calm

Wow, most of these describe me pretty well.
The ones that don't are struck.

On Enneagram I got highest in Type 9 and 5.

I got:

TINR- Smartass

It means I didn't actually take the quiz because I think it's a waste of time that depends more upon how people think they are, to give them a satisfying feel good answer. I know you probably have fun with it, but the results are never accurate because don't see what they're doing from the 3rd person perspective. My point is, since it's rather subtle, that I'm more pissed about all the people bragging about their personaity score which tells them they're modest. Actually, this was just a rant to prove I'm a smartass.

Type 5: The Thinker. The perceptive, cerebral type.
Type 7: The Generalist. The enthusiastic, productive type.

That surprises me for some reason, the word productive doesn't fit my personality.

INTP: The architect.
I found it highly accurate.
I found the other test similarly accurate, I am, in this order, a thinker, a generalist, and a peacemaker (last two are tied)

I don't trust this test, I only got 1 point on the artist thing. I make music, joke comics, and rpgs all the time. How in hell do I only have 1 point? I got 7 in thinker though, so that does make some sense. But 1 in artist? I'm baffled with that test.\

Did i do something wrong on it? I answered the questions honestly.
