Ok recently I dl'd those DK maps. I opened them up with X-Tra ALternative Edition. As I saw trigs I was amazed, but I was more amazed when I somehow did this.

I don't know what the heck this is, or how I did it. I just thought it was interesting enough to share. Please reply, I will also look for more weird "glitches".

That's not a glitch... your computer is just lagging up. If the program is powerful enough you can get it to do the same thing with your mouse. Just open up a big resource hog and move windows over it, the same thing will happen. I'm pretty sure it's caused by lag though, all you have to do to fix it, usually, is minimize and unminimize the window, then it'll refresh itself.

While your point seems possible:
1)Not to brag, but I never lag(not meant to rhyme...)
2)It has never happened before
3)I can still do it, but I opened another map and couldn't
4)It worked on all 3 of those maps(Unit energy, and both academies)
5)I have now added funky terrain, and it has gone psycho

In point, I don't think it's lag. I think it IS a glitch. Perhaps if someone else opened up the maps and played around, then posted as to whether or not it happened. Anyways, opinions please.

Then the program probably just stoped refreshing. If you've ever programed you know you occasionally have to force a refresh to stop 'images' from just staying there.

I think that any shmoe who has ever opened a map with certain null terrain tiles should know about this. Staredit doesn't have any image data for those tiles, so it filles them in with something else. Not amazing at all. They're black in game, so it's essentially worthless anyways.

It's the null terrain...

When ever you move your mouse over the null terrain or look at it, it smears the picture of what you saw before. Happens to me too much sad.gif

It's normal. Use an editor like SCMDraft 2 or Starforge and you wont see it.

If you dont want it to happen use any null tile but the first one from the master pallete.
