Heres a quick tip from me (will be added to tutorial DB l8r).

Have you ever wondered how the align text in Starcraft?

Most of the time, you end up putting stupid spaces to try and put it in the middle.

No more! Now you can make it eaiser!

Theres two overlap symbols, back and front. They accually align text as well by just putting one of those lines in front of the text you want in the middle.

Overlap Back = Middle align (Symbol: )
Overlap Front = Right align (Symbol: )
Nothing = Left align

Cool eh? To use do this:

|My text will be middlized

Instarcraft, it appears as:
My text will be middlized

Hope this helps showoff.gif

WOW! That's so useful! It should be included in the next version of Starcraft X-Tra Editor along with SCMDraft. I'm quite surprised that nobody thought of this before. What will Yoshi come up with next?

How about how to use the editor itself and no or very few triggers to create an independantly cloaked any unit. That would be cool... Mineral Patches you need Science Vessels to see... (=
Or perhaps anti-map-revealers, that do the opposite of map revealing.
I hope that's possible, and that if it is that Yoshi finds out how!

He didn't come up with those alignment characters. I've been using them for awhile now.

Time to re-awaken this topic.

How did you get your text to line up in your 'The Matrix' logo Yoshi?

When I try to center something like that, it is all out of place...

(Yea, kinda leeching off ur idea completly... but we will see how it looks.)

He probobly didnt use any overlaps, he put spaces until it lined up. If your map skill is advanced, then you would have known that.

I discovered that each "@" is = to 2 spaces " "

it may eventually be possible for me to make a whole matrix streamers effect, if I find enough characters that are exact with 2 spaces.

I have no clue what you meant but anyhow. I think that he didn't use any over-laps. I found out that if you use them in a word for then 7 letters wrong it usually doesn't work that well sad.gif .

So are you saying i need an extra space for ever '2-space symbol' i used in that line?

Isnt it the overlap symbol that puts the text in the middle?
