Well.. I recently attempted to record my SC game so that people could actually see all my actions too.. It worked well except for on small problem.. Over a 20 minute game the file size was 8 gigs.. So I'm wondering, is this possible? Has anyone else every tried it?

The most you could probably compress it to would be one gig, and it would be terribly hard to see...

1- Why would you want us to see a 20 (20!!) minutes video?
2- Did you used fraps or what?
3- Like both, compress it
4- Just make a book of it.

DivX is a good choice, but if you're going to make it 20 minutes long I suggest halving the size (in pixels).

Has anyone else tried to? You haven't heard of VODS (videos on demand), have you? Try resizing it to be half-size and using a good compression method.

Yeah I used Fraps to record it.. Cheese when I use it I experience pretty much no extra lag except for a 1 second loading thing when the game starts. I'm having a lot of trouble compressing as I don't have many high end video editing programs and all the ones I have tried to load it onto have crashed or frozen due to file size.

biggrin.gif Sounds like it'd be easier if you just made them buy & install Starcraft and just post a Replay...
