I was wondering if anyone here has played any of the sick an demented games known at Silent Hill [1, 2, or 3]. Well, first, I would like to say they are making a 4th one called Silent Hill 4:The Room. The 4th one will be in FPS mode, and not 3rd person! That may add some changes. Also, they are putting in an ageing thing that makes rooms age as you enter and exit them!
Anyway, but the real reason I wanted to start this thread was because did anyone here figure out that the third Silent Hill is the continuing story of the first Silent Hill game? When I started playing it, I took a guess that it was the continuing one of the first, but as the game went on, I KNEW I was right!
If you've only played the third one, get the first, because then the stories link up. Also, the first one is REALLY, REALLY short! Besides that, it isn't as scary!

all i know about the is that you can get a sweater someway in the third that ahs to logo of a swedish gaming magazine gamereaktor or something

The first silent hill was the best. I played it when it first came out and It was great. Took me so long to finish it to the end though. Im not sure if it would be continuing the first. Look at the silent hill official page and it will probably tell the story line.

First, Andy, the first Silent Hill waws short! I beat it in 5 hours! Honestly! The second one took me about 10 the first time though, and I am working on the third (Going on three, I'm almost rushing though it!).
Second, the third Does link to the first, because (as you know) Harry Mason is the main character of the first one right? Well, he is the father of the main character in the third one! Also, Dalia (That weird ##### who sacraficed her doter in the first one) name reapears. It is a link, trust me. Infact, they have a long thing that tells the whole first story for newbs to the game!
Last, I was just playing and I'm in the Amusment Park of the third game. Well, I get to this Haunted House, and I can't resist, of course. So I enter and this ####ing guy begins to talk. I am standing in a blank room with nothing on the walls. I go into the next room, and there is a table and blood everywhere. They guy begins telling the story and , you know, at the right time, lightning flashes. Well, I go to the third room. The voice doesn't begin to speak and all I can hear is a creaking of a man in a chair. I walk around the corner slowly and I come up to the man in the chair and all of a sudden this body falls out of nowhere and the voice says, "This is Danny, I hope he didn't scare you!" I examine the body, and I find out that it isn't a fake one, but a real one!!!! Well, it is blocking the path, so I go backwards and I find another door! I go through.... I'll tell the rest if anyone wants to hear...

You spend WAY to much time playing those games Flame... lol ive only owned and played the first one and it was great.. pretty freaky too.. especially the school when you first enter the school for the first time after going through that tunnel.. and everything has Completely changed hehe.. and those little freaky midgets with red eyes that sneak up on you and try and stab you.

First, how can you tell me I spend way to much time on this stuff when everyone here is obsesed with Starcraft? and Staredit?
Next, in the school, the best part is the phones! That one got me soo good the first time! Also, in the second and thirds, when the world changes is even worst. In fact, in the third, the hospital is HELL! I mean, the walls look like thousands of worms are moving on them. You should buy Silent Hill 3 for the ultimate scare! (Or Fatal Frame 1/2! My bro plays that one [and I'm scared just by watching!])
