Hi, I'm just wondering whats so great about "Wraith Killing Without Shooting!" that it's worthy of being on the map spotlight. Now, I could be wrong, but isn't that supposed to be reserved for good maps? (or the best maps?) Can I spend 30 seconds making one very unimpressive thing with an extended trigger and expect a spot on the map spotlight from now on?

I wish I could see what you're talking about...
But the map spotlight is just for things that are suggested for people to see, not necesarily for good fun maps.
If you have lots of favor from Yoshi/IP, your map demonstrates a use for some new extended trigger, and you're lucky, it could get up there.
Of course, this is all just guesses, since I'm only me.

The map spotlight is decided by the DLDB Keepers, not the administration.
I think the spotlight is a place to make certain maps stand out. A place reserved for maps that should be noticed, not necessarily the 'best' maps.

The map spotlight is to show recently submitted maps the public should be especially aware of. The wraith map was spotlighted because it was the first experimental map with modding triggers to be submitted to the DLDB, and does an accurately impressive demonstration of their power.

And, I might add, a lot of the recent submissions are total crap.

And thirdly, people seem to want the spotlight updated often.
