There was this article i read in the newspaper which was comparing the various cost of livings in the United States. I read it and was kinda surprised how expensive some places are considering that I live in a low cost of living area (texas).
For instance, with $400k, you could buy something like a 2 bedroom apartment along the pacific coast, whereas in texas, it could buy you a 4,000 sq ft house.
houses in mass go cost tons of money also

I know. It's crazy, but location matters.
But really, it depends on two factors. Amount of land in the area, and how good the area is... Like...
-Highly Populated, Highly Wanted Beach. Small condo on the most beautiful beach in the world.
-Extremely empty amount of land. Huge mansion in the cold depths of hell.
Same Prises!
$400k would buy you bugger all over here. Our house is $1m - and it's only 4 bedrooms. That's how high the cost of living is here.
I think you'd need $1m minimum to buy a house/apartment in London.
aint texas awsome
its cost less in texas becuace its hot as hell.
And it's where the government keeps the Sandwor- Um... nothing is in Texas, especially not a species of giant, burrowing worms with an exoskeleton that can survive upwards to three hundred degrees and landmines... nope... and it certainly doesn't cause earthquakes or mysterious dissappearances.
The rent for my whole 2-bedroom apartment here in Boston is $1550/month (I have roommates who split it with me). It would probably cost like $500,000 to buy.
Captainwill, is that a million dollars or a million pounds?

Our house is 1 million dollars, but you'd need that much just to buy an apartment in London.
DAMN, you could literally buy a huge mansion here in texas with that money
So pack your bags and come on over to texas, CaptainWill

I'll consider it when I retire...and if the USA will get me a visa, which I doubt.
