So, which of the controller is best? Why?
Personally, I like the old XBox controller most. I'll specify why when someone decides to start debating about why another is better.

XBOX has the most buttons, and an ok layout, PS2 controllers suck, GCN controllers have by far the best layout.

PS2 controllers have the same amount of buttons as the Xbox ones and no ... they don't suck. If anyone with a brain can see, more and more people are going towards a more PS2 look and feel with the controllers. Most 3rd party controllers I saw last time I was at Best Buy looked just like PS2 ones and had the same exact button arrangements.

I think the worse controllers are the Xbox and the GC ones. The Xbox one, although revised and a lot better, is still too bulky. The GC one never felt right, even after 60 hours of Gameplay with it - I never had that problem with the 64 controller.

SNES Controller all the way! I've been using one for 11 years and I still think it is the best out of all of them. 8 Buttoms, and a D-Pad, doesn't get too much simpler. Well, the NES controller was, but anyway...

Oh god... It doesnt matter! Its whatever you're used to! If i played Xbox all my life and picked up a Ps2 controller, I would say its terrible. Vice Versa.

But since Im used to the Ps2 controller, i vote Ps2.

No it's not. I was used to a Sega controller before I had a PS and I loved the PS controller way more instantly.

The old X-Box one was kinda bulky I suppose, though I don't play X-Box enough to really feel it. PS2 and Gamecube are really the same with me, I don't have a problem with either. I play Gamecube more, so I'm used to it, but PS2 is good too. N64 was great too.

You could crush a full grown man with the Xbox tongue.gif

I like keyboard and mouse now. I started using WASD movement and I realized how freaking 1337 it is.

You people are telling me that the new, more compact XBox controller is too big?
SHEESH, I use the old, bigger, clunkier one and it's just the right size! And yet I'm this short, fat kid, exactly what I'd expect to need a smaller controller than others. And I like how heavy the controller is, it just doesn't feel right when it feels like it's 99% air or something.

Explain why I never got used to the GameCube Controller, and why it took me a couple months of playing Perfect Dark to get used to the N64 one. Dear God, Nintendo sucks at controllers- the only way they could possibly have made them worse is if they were Sega! However, it took me only a few minutes to get a feel for the Playstation controller. The Playstation controller has got to be the second best- it fits comfortably in my hand, it's nice and dense, it has many buttons that aren't placed and even shaped in weird ways like N64 or GC, it has two joysticks(even the GC one doesn't have that, they have a crappy joystick and a... wtf? A joy-stub?!).

XBox Controller Pros:
It has some decent weight to it, which just feels right, two joysticks with joystick buttons which are conveniant, analogue triggers!, the main buttons are right next to each other so you can almost instantly hit the other one, and all you need to know is "left" "right" "up" or "down", it's tied only with Playstation on numerous command-inputs, and above the four main buttons you have two more.

Cons:
It's big? If I could use it, anyone above the age of twelve that doesn't have any growth problems or messed-up hands should be able to use the thing. The only downside I see is the D-Pad. Ewww...

GC Controller:
It's small, it's so light you can throw it at your T.V. as hard as you can forty times because of that one frustrating boss you can't seem to defeat without damaging the T.V. or the controller, 'Z' button.

:
The joystick feels weird and when my thumb is dry can actualy be slightly slippery, it's fragile, the buttons are organized, shaped, and sized in weird ways that I could never completely get used to, it only has one joystick and one joy-stub, the 'Z' button is overshadowed by the right trigger, the 'Z' button is placed awkwardly anyway, and it's too small. tongue.gif

Playstation:
Tied with XBox on inputs, it has four shoulder-buttons, two triggers, conveniantly placed main-buttons, almost as well as the XBox's, it has decent weight and density, and its size is just about right.... well, it was for me a year ago, when I was this short kid that everyone else towered over...

:
Hmm... I don't really know of any cons to the Playstation controller.

N64 just plain sucks, I'm not getting into that.

The SNES controller is the easiest to use for me, and that's not because it's the one I've used the most.

Anyway, there's one conrtoller I hate, that's the Super Nintendo controller. So uncomfterable. It doesnt fit your hand, and you have to smash a button down in order for it to work...

I have a MadCatz XBox Macro controller.
It has more comfortable handles, smaller triggers(which makes pulse-firing easier and better) with a D-Pad that owns the XBox's D-Warped-Phonograph-Record, but other than that it sucks compared to it... especialy the joysticks, they're so much more sensitive.
