Staredit Network -> Games -> TimeSplitters Future Perfect Mapping Question...
Report, edit, etc...Posted by warhammer40000 on 2005-08-03 at 14:04:59
Alright, for the small crowd that does play TimeSplitters Future Perfect, here it goes.

On every map I make, it seems to (Except in Story mode, obviously) take away the usage of all 10(Something like that) units, and make it so you can only have 6(Something close to that) units play in the map. This has been starting to make me angry, because I have alot of maps that won't work because I need a high level of units.

Is there any way to solve this, or are my maps trash?

6 only. Sucks, doesn't it?

Man, that's lame. My map cant work like that...

Hmm, just wondering, do you know why?

Because FRD were sell-outs and caved into EA pressure to get the game out on the release date.

Have you seen all the glitches in mapmaker yet? I like being able to have 50 enemies in story, but I hate the slowdown on arcade maps if you have many levels and an open roof.

Sell-outs...

Anyway, yea, I've done both. I had to delete a few of my maps because they were like open plains, They were skipping like mad!

Plus I hate the little scrolling messages that appear when you load anything:

'Have you played as the Monkey?'
'Have you tried 'x' level on assault against friends or bots?'
'Have you challenged everything?'
'Did you know that EA sucks hairy balls?'

Haha, that cracked me up... Yea man, thats true. They just display the same messages over and over...

I'll curl a nuclear monkey into EA's headquarters...

Whatever happened to the good old ECA (EA) which brought me F/A-18 Hornet on the Amiga?

I feel like emailing them how lame they are, but they wouldn't listen, and that's just stupid...

But seriously, without the map maker, you could get tired of Timesplitters in a few weeks, with the mapmaker, you won't get bored of it in a long time. (Never ending amounts of levels!)

Well, now all of my hectic maps and open maps wont work... ... And my newest "special" map wont work very well... Unless its like, 4 player multiplayer..

Got something against monkey curling? Actually, I do. It sucks compared to TSUG: 2. Or even Cortez Can't Jump.

Well, it's because for the online games for the PS2 to work, they had to remove some bots...

What's odd is that you could have more bots in the map editor in TS2.

So it comes down to better maps (TS3) or more players (TS2).

An entire genre of maps has been deleted in FP, because of that. (Hectic, many players maps) I would say 2 might be better...

But still, why couldnt they make it so you can only use 7 bots online, and you can use all 11 offline?

...
By the way, Cortez Can't Jump rocks my socks. TSUG is pretty good too... Curling a monkey is gay, and why do they call it curling? Why not throwing or shooting or something...
