I'm thinking its unfair for staff and whatever to have their maps in this dldb directory. It was okay a while ago, but now I think the maps should be properly orangized into their folders, because no one knows what the genres of the maps are or anything.

  • The maps will be put in the featured maps section of the DLDB and map spotlight.

Just when I was trying to make Featured something other than an exclusive staff display case for maps you decide you want to remove it?

Also, I know I didn't mention this but I planned on hosting a differently themed tournament every now and then. One of my goals was to populate the featured maps section with the top 3 winners of every map.

I think the Featured section should contain essentially a record of past spolighted maps that are good enough to make it in. Essentially a directory of really top quality UMS maps. Unlike melee and Pro, it is much easier to make distintions in quality in UMS maps.

Put the maps that have been in the Spotlight into Featured.

I think you can tell the genre if you look at any of my maps in there.

EDIT: Oh wait, most of them ARE my maps. No wonder you want to kill it. sad.gif

Okay, how about this, for v5, we can have a quality map marker, which highlights the cell of it. We can keep it until then.

I think the featured section should just be a bunch of links to the 'featured' maps. So we don't have the issue of them being in two differant places.

Or maybe i don't know what i'm talking about...
