Staredit Network -> StarCraft Editing Related -> Creating Units Without Their Prerequisite

I figured this would be impossible, but I figured I'd check with the fine people down at SEN before I went to all the trouble of making a section of buildings on the map;

Is is possible to make it so players can build their buildings without the prerequisites for them? (i.e. building a photon cannon without owning a forge.)

dont think so. cuz you cant do it with ordinary triggers anyway.

I think with EUD triggers you can change requirements.

Make another building have the price of the building that you want, then when one of the other buildings is placed somewhere, remove it and put the desired building (which should be of the same size as the building being removed) in that place with a trigger.

Wing my whole thing was building turrets and then turning in cannons, so it was more of a build turret without engineering bay kind of idea..

EUD should make it possible to alter what is needed for a building to be built, and so allow pretty much anything.

No, editing techtrees is beyond the capabilities of EUD, the offsets we would edit with modding are out of range from EUD. I know that EUD triggers seem to be the coolest thing and appear to be limitless, but they can only do a narrow subset of what can be done with modding, so if you're talking about modding something and you're not sure whether it can be done with EUD, it would be wiser to guess that EUD can't perform the modification, because that's the more probable case.
