Staredit Network -> Miscellaneous -> What's Your Vision?
Report, edit, etc...Posted by EzDay281 on 2005-08-07 at 10:50:23
Just wondering, but what's your vision?
Mine... I'm not sure, I've never had it tested beyond "normal".
It seems to be better than average, but only as far as text goes. I can't see well, but for some reason I can read text better than most of the people at school or, apparently, the people that tried to read my 3 pixel high font, and, later, my 5 pixel high, and since vision tests are about recognizing letters...
I read down to the 20:15 part on a chart(that's the highest the thing went, anyway), from what a desk-clerk that worked at the building I was at said was 20 feet away.

What's your vision like?

Poor.

I wear glasses in class to read the board, but I don't need them for the rest of the time. I really need contact lenses.

But I might have included too many 0's

Let's just say I can't focus things that are more than 1 foot away from my eyes. sad.gif

20/20
It's fun just listing off random letters though. I had 16/16 last year, because I listed random letters, she was like, "Now which row did you read?"

20/25 in left eye; 20/80 in right. Need glasses to read stuff really far away, other than that, I'm fine.

Err, there is no such thing as 23/18 or -5/-5 or etc.. All vision is 20/x, the bigger the number, the better the vision.

It's measured like this:

20/16 means what normal people can see at 16 feet (farthest they can see), you can see at 20 feet. 20/200 means what normal people can see at 200 feet, you have to go to 20 feet to see.

20/200 is legally blind, btw.

The smaller the number...the better the vision...

I'm confused. :poo:...I swear it was like that...because my right eye was screwed up but my left eye wasn't. ugh. whatever. I don't care about numbers anymore...my left eye see lots and my right eye sees less. Or, did. w00t.gif I WIN!

You can use both ways to tell their vision. Sometimes, the number on the left represents the left eye and the right, the right eye. :/

I dont know the numbers, but im nearsighted and have been since 4 th grade and got contacts at 6th, im going into 10th now.

Last time i got checked it was better than 20/20. I could of sworm it was like 19/20 a few years ago. My vision seems to get better every time i go to get it checked. biggrin.gif

Um... wait... 19/20?
Unless you mean you have a very slightly unusualy good left eye, that means that you have below-average vision...
