Hi, as some of you know I work at Wendys, and 80% of the time they put me on drive-thru cash register.... so i decided to list the things that people do that i hate the most.

1. They creep up from the speaker to the window while looking for change in their purse/wallet HINT: It would be alot faster if you drove to window then looked... idiots!

2. They give me a $100 dollar bill for a $2.10 order.Don't ask for large bills at a bank if you plan on breaking it at Wendys

3. They ask me to give them free food.I have a hard enough time for me to get free food, why would I give any to you?

4. They drive up to the speaker with Diesel trucks and expect me to hear them speak.TURN OFF UR DARN TRUCK!

5. They hand me a $20 for a $5.81 order and spend 5 minutes looking for a penny.If you dont know where one is, dont bother looking it isn't worth it.

I think I’ll Add to that since I have worked at a restaurant for about 4 years now and know what its like.

6. In Drive-thu They pull up to the window, wait 2, seconds (I and say in a really annoying voice) “HELLO?” like your not there.
7. They insist on pointing out that there order is “to go”. No S***, your in the damn drive though, how else would we prepare it.
8. They Must mispronounce everything on your menu. (like parmesan is really hard to say) Here is a hint for you guys its NOT “par-me-sen”
9. This is my biggest point. Its not only true in drive though or anything ether. Contrary to popular belief employees in fast food restaurants are NOT dumber than you. Treat employees like people there not robots.

Here is a prime example of what i mean. A while back my family and I were on a road trip early in the morning. We stopped at McD’s for breakfast.

Well they messed up my sisters order and forgot to put the Egg on her EggMc Muffin. My dad got pissed and insulting the IQ of the employees (not to there faces, but still).

Although I don’t work there or even know the person he was talking about it offended me greatly. Many times when I’m making peoples food I mess up, It happens to everyone. I’m not perfect, and nether are you. But I sure as hell don’t want some customer Insulting my IQ for making a simple mistake.

Well I guess no one cares about this but this is the Off-Topic Section. Were suppost to talk about pointless things.

Hahahaha.. so true, i forgot about these.

People don't realize that it IS fast food, and there is usually one coordinator for drive-thru and he/she has to manage 4 orders at once sometimes especially if your backed up and it can get very confusing

not for me tho ;P

ill add another one.

10. They cut in line in the drive-thru to tell me that we screwed up their sandwiche and we lost a customer.
Like I care ? They think Wendys will close cuz they won't go to it anymore..

This is the risk of the job; I mean, you're messing with people's food around. They are waiting for an "Egg Mc Muffin", not for a "Mc Muffin"... People are hard.

I know but the people should understand that if we are busy, we do make mistakes, and if you just come in the store or drive-by again we actually remember ur face and will give you free food.

I dont remember anything as bad as forgetting to put the main part on a sandwiche tho.. lol

I have stuff like that at my work too. I work at Baskin Robbins (the ice cream place). I think the worst thing that happens to me is when people order something, watch you scoop it/mix it up, and then decide that wasn't really what they wanted...

I dont work at all (exept school ofcourse) but i always ahte people thats being rude and i always try to be polite with everyone i meet and when i order stuff and so.

Just be glad you have never had to get a food order from my mom, everytime I go somewhere with her she has to use a damn coupon, and it usually never works, but wastes the worker's time and the line behind us gets really long.

Our drive though really sucks they normally have one person working it alone. That means they Take the order of the intercom, bag the food, take the money, and hand it out. And a lot of times you will be doing 4 at once. This is why don’t do it lol.

I find it more common to forget the whole sandwich. But when that happens and they drove off were like “crap” (it actually bothers us). And if some one comes though again in 5 minutes saying you forgot there sandwich it, even if we forgot there face. Then were like Oh yeah sorry about that.

I remember some faces but I forget more than I remember. Some times if I’m taking a order up front I will turn around to get there food (during that time they walk off) When I get the food I turn back around and will hand the food to the next person in line. Then there like “I didn’t order that”.

Anyways to add to the list

11. When people decide it is to go at the last minute (this doesn’t apply to drive though). Many times you will prepare an order, make it up all nice on a tray and put it in front of them and there like “ohhhh I want that to go”
12. This probably doesn’t apply to you @:@ because where I work isn’t as much as a fast food place, and we seat people on there meals to hand it out like 3 minutes later. Anyways what sucks is when you go up to some one and you ask “Did you order a pepperoni pizza” or something along those lines. And they respond with “I don’t know, It looks good though”

He... goes to my school, he just wanted minerals so he could beat me at Starcraft Armies and that's the best he can think of, pretty smart huh?


12. At my work there is two drive-thru windows, one for paying, then you pull up and get your food. Multiple times people pay and then they drive right through and leave. I think that is more funny then rude.

13. I take their order and ask if they want to make it a combo, they say "NO" but later they find out it would be cheaper to get it in a combo, so I have to change it... pisses off the manager and me.

14. I take their order and when they pull up to the window, they tell me that they forgot their money at home. (has happened multiple times believe it or not) So, i have to erase their order to continue with more customers/buisness. When the previous customer comes back they get angry because i didnt save their order.

With me its Cellphones... I am a cell phone technician for Nextel and youd be amazed how many stupid stories i get from people... Some of the tops ones...

(One thing you should know NSP is a swap program allowing me to exchange there phone as long as its not physically damaged or water damaged)

1. A person walks in with a phone and demands that I swap him out for a new phone, he hands me the phone.. and its dripping water... while trying to explain that i cant do it he becomes enraged and runs out the door, typically yelling im reporting you to the better buisness beuro.

2. A man walks in with a phone that the flip or screen is shattered and demands that i replace it, I tell him i cant and he usually says the following "Why not, i bought the phone here, you should swap me out and take care of me no matter what"... (Now common people... if you buy a big plasma screen tv from Best Buy... take him home and smash it with a bat.. do you think Best Buy is going to give you a new one?... now why would I give you a new phone?)

3. Someone who doesnt speak english demands a new phone and does NOT understand a damn thing im saying when I tell them I cant help them.

There are alot more but they are alot longer... lol

What you need to realize is a large percent of the population is dumb. Yes some of them work and yes some of them buy things as customers at places. The average intelgence you find from an emplyee working at a fast food joint is not much lower if any than the average you will find of random people at walmart.
