I starts and it starts staredit, but nothin's new what should I do?
I don't get it. All you attached is a bunch of files with no exe or something. And the files repeats but different folders. WTF should it do?

Its like they can't use EUD but they at least have starfire
.
Yes it's a mac tool. Does any one know how to use it?
Ya, I use it. This is what i did to start it. Got info, open with staredit (default). Then i open starfire, then it should open staredit. It should look like staredit, but you can stack and add some extra units and slot more and bacisly like ex-tra editor for windows.
Starfire runs on OS X, (there might be a OS 9, but i don't know) and staredit runs on OS 9. So you have to have the OS 9 program on your OS X to make it work, which i think you do.
It didn't work for me until I upgraded to broodwar. Now it works fine. When it starts up, it starts StarEdit, but it changes StarEdit so that it has some extra capabilities, though it is still StarEdit and doesn't look any different until you start exploring the menues. Start StarEdit without StarFire and it will just be normal Staredit.
Make sure StarFire is able to patch StarEdit. Ideally, start it up without anything else running. Also make sure that you have told it where StarEdit is.
Do I need the OSX patch of battle.net?
No i have then OS 9 patch for b.net, You just to have broodwar installed on to your computer.
I submitted the file to SEN, and I don't know why so many people are having issues. For me, I just unzipped it and started it up. It asked me to locate StarEdit, and then once I found it, it worked fine.
I don't know the technical crap with it (like having to have Brood War installed to run it). I suppose that makes sense, since some added units are the lurker egg and other BW-related stuff. Also, yu have to be running on Mac OS X for this to properly run.
Here's an editor I've been hacking at for a while... In my opinion, it blows the pants off StarFire. Just make a folder like this:
Blue=Alias Red=True file
[attachmentid=12910]
I warned you in the category description that help may be hard to find. I'd LIKE to help you, but I don't own a mac, neither do most of the people here.
The application SE MOD! could not be opended because Storm--SRgnGetRectsi could not be found
What do I do?
I think you have to storm in the same folder as the editor (SE MOD). Just make a folder with all the stuff in the the picture. I'll try the editor as i get starcraft back onto my computer. Thanks nuclearrabbit for the editor you can finally put it on your site
(oo ya, make sure the you follow the key of blue and red)
I did but it wouldn't work.
Works for me, but it's just StarEdit Emerald without some special units. To me, that doesn't really beat StarFire Edit...
Well I don't need it any more. I can make square terrain and stack on normal editor.
And how do you go about doing that?
You must not download the patch off battle.net to do it. Strech to window then move it over like so:http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v80/isg88/stareditsquaru.jpg. Then you must click on the white then you can use square terrain. And to stack make the building you want to stack and then the terrain or building. For terrain you do dirt over water then move the building over it then undo. For building stack creat two buildings delete one and move the other where it was then undo. This works because staredit does not undo moving an item.
So it is rectangular (ISOM) terrain, and not 1x1 squares?
And why can't this be done if you download the patch? As far as I know, the patches don't effect StarEdit unless it deals with changing unit costs (as it did patch, once).
If you have the patch and streach past the bounderies it make staredit quit.
