Well I've been hearing about all the complaints about replays made against deathknight. So I wanted to see what replays are like, and how important they are. As I am not much into watching sc as I am to playing it.
Anyway, I made a short (but fricken hard) micro map. I made it about 3/4 across the map, before I died. So I saved the replay, and immediately watched it. I don't know if it was just me, but everytime I sped up the replay my hero just died. It made the whole replay just suck. I watched it about 7 times, and none of the replay characters got up to the point I was at when dieing. I decided not to try watching the replay in slow motion, and just quit watching.

Yea thats why I dont save replays, they never work properly. Every time ive seen a replay, even the same one over and over again it ws completely different. I think that the ingame AI is trying to play during the replay cause thats basicly what it is, a game that your spectating.

When you are looking on replays from older versions of Starcraft it seems like the computer actually are playing and the human players are AFK blink.gif
At least it does that for me...

Fear not, newbies. I have the answer. If you save a replay in UMS you can't mess with the speed or the replay will screw up, I'm not going to explain why.

What PsychoTemplar just said, to me, is common knowledge tongue.gif I learned this a while ago when trying to watch Dodgeball replays biggrin.gif

Wow, thats UMS.

Replays are for MELEE. Its for strategy and learning and showing others, not so much for fun.

But I never got to see any of my awesome tactics later on.
(Like my killing reavers with a regular zealot and stairs.)

Just don't change the speed, and you will.

Wasn't this patched since 1.12? I've seen replays like this before 1.12.

You know, if you watch deathknights old replay of himself using morph hack on vers 1.12 or higher, you see him getting owned by comps which completely changes hISTory OmG!

Exactly, there's no longer any proof that he did the morph glitch tongue.gif

Replays are made for actual games (in place of battle reports).

Made for melee (and its derivatives) games* (you used a term too broad).

And your term is too long.
