This isn't anything too fancy, just was taking a break from coding to see how well scmdraft stands up for a full map from start to finish. Did it in the last 2 hours or so, not much testing tho (mainly theoritical)

EDIT: added the image

Not bad, but i wish there was a way to put a ramp on the inside of each curve.

Glad to see you take time away from being a complete slave =D

BTW I use scmdraft while making melee maps.

To me it seems top two players have a good advantage over the lower two. With the lower right being the worst spot to be.

Bottem right can attack bottem left's ramp (or atleast that general area) with tanks from his base. Bottem right's base is the only one that has a mineral only without high water behind it. That's bad. Is this meant for 1v1s? I think this map gives Terran a huge advantage due to all the high ground surronding the low ground... Thanks for showing us though.

terran has an advantage, but thats what alot of the water was for, so its not overblown, and also iff you own the island terran cant abuse the cliffs to kill the exps.

Yea it sucks that the ramps cant be placed uniformly, tried doing it but then the way up would have been way to hard to capture if you had someone camping at the top. Also I wish there were high water doodads.

I still think you should put the min onlies on islands and make the ramp closer to the base. It was pretty cool otherwise.

Oh and I had to freakin alt tab back into the game like 15 times because of some :poo: that keeps sending me back to my desktop. You're lucking you survived that long! </gloat> tongue.gif

just put lowwater doodads on high water. noone will ever notice the height defference if there'll be any at all anyway tongue.gif Starforge can do that. Im not familiar with scmdraft but im 100% sure that that program does it too

Scm Draft pretty much does anything starforge can do. Of course it can.

In fact, starforge has one major disadvantage that makes me dislike it: It always seems to uncompress custom sounds, and its very irritating to re-compress.

Back on topic, its an ok melee map, but its a bit unbalanced as others have stated.

Terran can still place tanks behind the water =/ I don't know what you mean by island, there aren't any as far as I can see... Your map is basically forcing Protoss and Zerg to go air while being incredibly vulnurable to a Terran ground push. You definitly need a lot of unbuildable ground... more than you can fit on that map =P TvP a Terran push would be unstoppable if the Terran were skilled (and not uberly so, I'm talking, 50,000 at least are already this skilled).
