#1 is obviously 3. BeeR already got it though.

Take 2 out, they're either paired up already or 2 different colors. Take 1 more, it'll make a pair if they're not paired up already. Extra numbers just to throw you off.

Infinite. You never specified that you're using a base-10 number system.
Assuming you are, however, the answer would be 9 to the 9th(9^9), or, in full form, 387420489.00.
Or perhaps 9e9, or 9x10^9.
4.8.
Since he can't smoke the last fifth of every cigar, that means that he only gets 4/5 per cigar.
4/5x5=4. Use the remainders to create a last one, and that's another 4/5.
And now that I'm done answering, I'll respond to the other posts(note that I answered before reading, so that my answers would be entirely mine):

My brother asked a similar question in grade-school, except it was "with 3 digits". I got it right on the first try.
He said one person said "9+9+9"... >_>
A carrot is not a number, and anyways, it said "digit", not "number".
According to dictionary.com, the only digits I see in "9^9" are 9, and 9. ^ isn't "0-9".
Phear my ownage logic!

They weight the same - 1 pound.

EDIT:
Oops... posted at the same time.

ADDITION:
Unless you are talking about a "pound" as in the currency? The wording of the sentence could be either one. The former is already anwered, as for the currency - more values are required. Thus I can assume that you are talking about pounds as in weight.

The reason I took out my answer for 6 is because someone already said it =/

OH NEVERMIND, they put the wrong answer. 6. 6

The answer for number 8 is one.

The answer for number 1 is three.

I'm pretty sure the answer for number 9 is your mother.

In theory, the answer for number 11 should be the planes are exactly the same when they meet.. but I sense trickery!
