[attachmentid=12897]
Trigger
Description:
every 5 sec one marine will be created for player 8
Players:
¤ 8
Conditions:
¤ player 8 commands at least one terran marine
Actions:
¤ wait for 5000 miliseconds
¤ create 1 terran marine at location spawntrigger for player 8
¤ preserve trigger

The above trigger works but:

What i wanna do is every 5 seconds 1 marine is created, since the elapsed time trigger doesnt seem to work for me, i want the view to center between 1 and another point on map every time a marine is created. And then after a few times it stops

Trigger
Description:
centerview on marine
Players:
¤ 1 till 4
Conditions:
¤ player 3 commands exactly 0 protoss corsair
Actions:
¤ center loc labeled hereismarine on terran marine owned by player 8 at hereismarine
¤ centerview for current player at hereismarine
¤ preserve trigger

The next centerview:

Trigger
Description:
center at zerg
Players:
¤ 1 till 4
Conditions:
¤ player 8 commands exactly 2 terran marines
Actions:
¤ center location labeled hereiszerg on Zerg Zergling owned by player 5 at hereiszerg
¤ centerview for currentplayer at hereiszerg
¤ preserve trigger

You can download my map, i think my locations are wrong or something, i cant figure it out. Hope someone can help me

Just so you know, a millisecond is a 1/1000 second, so you need 5000 milliseconds if you want a 5 second counter.

And for the second, you can't have one player center view at two places at once, think by yourself

lol yes i know its a typo.Im not tryin to centerview 1 player at 2 places at once.Every 5 seconds there should be a centerview at one place cuz 1 marine was created. Then after the next 5 seconds another marine is created and then the 2nd centerview should occur on another place

Then you probably need a switch, more like this:

Trigger 1
Condition:

Switch 1 is Set
Player 1-4 bring 1 marine to "location"

Action:

Center view at "Location"
Clear Switch 1
Preserve

Trigger 2
Condition:

Switch 1 is Cleared
Player 1-4 bring 1 marine to "location"

Action:

Center view at "Location"
Set Switch 1
Preserve

Noo dont say switches. I tried that and the centerview goes back and forth from the marine to the zerglings (as i wanted). But after a while i want that to stop and center it somewere else, which i cant do. See http://www.staredit.net/index.php?showtopic=19032 last post is most detailed

Why start a new one then?

Second trigger

QUOTE
¤ player 3 commands exactly 0 protoss corsair

Should be current player rather than player 3.

QUOTE
1 till 4

Should be the force in which p1-4 are in. More convenient.

Why start a new one? Even though i want the same result, i tried a different approach. If anyone else has another approach feel free to post.

Has anyone actually downloaded my map and looked if something was wrong? Ill try that current player thing

ADDITION:
nope didnt make a difference. Switches could work>>so the centerview goes from point A to point B several times. After that, it should stop so i can center somehwhere else. That last part i didnt know how to do. Im open for all different solutions

Report, edit, etc...Posted by whaaaaat02 on 2005-08-14 at 16:23:13
euh yeah!!!!

But i dont understand why u put the condition player 8 commands at least 1 terran, twice in there. But could u repeat that untill the marine is shooting the zerglings(or when the zerglings are in the middle, samething)

Cuz when they are in the middle, i want the view to go to the bunkers for 4 seconds and then nomore centerview.

Like i said before ive succeeded before with switches but i could never manage to pull of the last centerview meaning the centerview at the bunkers and then make the switch (sequence) stop. Thnx for da help anywayz

ADDITION:
[attachmentid=12907]check this download to see how far i came with switches.....As you can/will see the last centerview doesnt stay at those bunkers, why??? You tell me smile.gif

oh, i put that in (it was at most) because i wasnt sure if you wanted it to continue centering on the unit. Basically, it was trying to centerview at two spots at the same time i think. i just used the switch to make it stop centering so that the two centers wouldnt conflict with each other. you can change it to your liking.

problem is i dont know how to change it to my liking cuz everytime i centerview at the bunkers (which is the last centerview) the view moves over there but doesnt stay there.its buggin me f out mad.gif helpsmilie.gif

Physical switches.
They could be used similarly to deathcounts I suppose, but you could only have so many before the game started lagging.

well then for conditions, for switches put another switch in there caleed: centering loactions, and it has to be set, when u want it to stop just clear that switch

tongue.gif ugh, i don't see why it wouldn't..and i don't see how you don't get the concept...
use chronophobias idea..and put my concept in there to make it stop centering view, just like you wanted
