this maybe stupid, maybe not but its up to your choice. do you think i, we, or someone should make a PICTURE category for maps. i still don't know what is the point of making picture maps, maybe for pleasure, for killing time, or just to brag(hey dude look at this picture i made in starcraft!),maybe to send something to your friends like an ecard. to make one, just make units or terrain that will appear in the minimap as pixels. it is like in StarCraft Paint by noobie010. the difference is that you make it in the STARCRAFT CAMPAIGN EDITOR or STAREDIT(for short). not only can you make pictures, you can also write short messages. open it always in Use Map Settings. im not saying that SEN should add a category or subcategory made up of these maps, im just giving an idea. If this will be succesful, maybe ill name it SE-Card which means STARCRAFT E-CARD

I think it might be an alright idea. But something would have to be in the map.

If you want to make a picture, use MS Piant not Starcraft.

I still dont understand the main point of this. Why would you wanna look at a map for a message. If you have time to do something that small, then why dont u do something better? Make a real Use-Map-Settings map and post it here.

BTW if SEN would need a new category it would sure be "game related". Maps from all other categeries that are related to a other game than SC. Like all these Counter-Strike, TFC, Bomberman, Diablo, FF......... maps.

It's not a stupid idea, just not a popular one. There are people who consider picture maps a legitimate form of mapping. I say if it keeps the game alive then why not encourage it?

Yea, these maps can't even be played. All you can do is look at damn minimap. It is pretty stupid to look at picture maps on B.net. You can do better and faster in the damn paint. And this DO NOT "keep the game alive". How can complete crap keep the game alive? And for everybody who said that this is a good idea.... Are you on drugs or something? Every single noob can make these crappy picture maps. They would flood DLDB just like bounds because they are easy to make. And I am sure that Yoshi will never approve this.

I don't necessarily like them either, but I don't think that means we should keep them from being made. I'm just saying that if there are people who want to make them then encourage it, we don't like Bound maps but that doesn't mean that we've removed their category.

There is no "we" it's Yoshi not "we". Only Yoshi can add/remove categories. Besides, if he doesn't remove bounds doesn't mean that he will add other crap to SEN DLDB. And I don't care if somebody makes crap because it's they problem. I just don't want the SEN to be flooded with this crap. There are already many stuff disabled because of "sucks up too much resources"(games, statistics.....). I don't want to see something else disabled just because some lazy and probably bad mapmakers make crap and wants a new category called "crap".
