Ever since July 24th I've been at camp and my cousin Francis has been posting for me and pretending to be me (he actually did a pretty good job).

EUD's were nothing special, they are gone now anyway.

EUDs were triggers that allowed for editing of StarCraft's memory. Lots of fun. EUDs are not completely gone, just EUD actions are. There's still EUD conditions, which allow for things like text detection and HP detection. For more information, check out the Triggers of God thread in Concepts.
1.13b - Disabled the use of EUD actions.
1.13c - Disabled EAS, ESS, EUDEnabler (3rd party program) and extended units. (EAS and ESS were similar to EUD). Also disabled a hack and the building of Infested Terrans, or by some reports, the spawning of Infested Terrans via triggers as well.

Because EUD's were a security threat, and they crashed macs. END OF STORY.

Blizzard patched them because it crashed Mac users, and there was believed to be the possibility to execute malicious code.
