You can do that every day with xbconnect, you just need: Cable/DSL connection/xbox/computer/ethernet cable(to connect xbox to cable/dsl modem/xbc program/halo2 and ur good to go.

ADDITION:

when halo 1 was out, all we did was play xbc...and we made fun of anyone who had xbox live (there were no games good for it) and just so u know..xbox live is good..but it has disadvantages...say ure having a lan party...and u invite 7 other friends...so u have two xboxes and 8 ppl...then u want to play 8v8 online...how do u do that?? XBC DUH...u cant have 7 XBL guests, but on the other hand, playing xbox connect will allow you and ure 7 other friends to play against whoever they want on xbc...IMPOSSIBLE on xbox live... also...playing xbc lets u pick what u want to join (like starcraft), xbl is like warcraft III, so if u have frineds over u can do whatever you want easily....

btw: xbc has friends list.... (so wth are u talking about oddangel)

There are differences in versions though. If you have live and downloaded the auto update, you can play with the older versions, but you cannot rocket lunge/sword fly. Kinda sucks but anyway

I think I'm Kowzorz

I might dl xbc for this comp and go on smile.gif

When XBC first came out and GameSPY wanted to host it, you could hardly play with 3 people without instantly dropping. This was with cable internet too. I haven't tried it now, but if it's still as much as a hassle to set everything up, then I don't think it's worth it.

You don't need a credit card, you can go to a game store and buy an XBL card for 3, 6, or 12 months.

It's not a hassle at all to set up if you're not a lazy good-for-nothing retard... It's worth it. You can have 14 people in a room and there can be no lag and its free.

Use your moms, and just make sure you cancel or renew it before it runs out. Not that hard...
