StartCraft is a mad old game. The question is: Why do you still play the game?
starcraft has become more of a chat room to me now. I map make the odd time and play the odd melee but thats gettin old...
Because I was into it when it came out...............
Because you can make maps due to the good triggering system. Unlike most RTS games where the map editor is not that good and you can only play the melee type of matches all the time.
I thought that the topic title was some kind of clever pun, but then I saw the post.
I don't play SC much anymore, but the reason for me playing the occasional game is because of the seemingly endless flexibility of the mapping system.
Melee, when played against a variety of good players, has an amazing amount of entertainment value. UMS allows you to create your own game, and get a break from melee, although it doesn't have the same amount of depth, it's refereshing to play something else. Try playing with more then three or four people, like PGTour or whatever.
I don't play maps that much any more, unless a friend's on, but even then they don't respond...

mostly on im the internet on SEN or other sites...
You know, Endcraft is pretty fun too.
Good. I don't care about the happiness of people I hardly know.
Friends,UMS < BIG ASS FACTOR, and the uber campaign editor, one of the best.
I play because there are so many different games(maps) available

^ same, saves me alot of trouble buying things simpilar
i like sc cause i got my clan and ima a leader of the dang thing, and it's fun to post here and make maps with the most elexent ideas presented here

I like SC cause I simply love fiction
And Im hoping to see If there is going to be A sc 2
I think the two things that keep SC alive is mapping and progaming, because it's the two things which keep on growing.
Starcraft isn't the only thing we play. I played Halo at one point and right now I'm into Diablo II.

You told me you stalk me.
My reasons have already been listed by others. The balanced and fun gameplay along with the l33t campaign editors. I've been playing for 5 years and I don't plan on stopping anytime soon.
My friend plays it. Maybe because I'm conservative and I was playing starcraft before. I need a break from Quake

It's getting old because you don't really know how to play the game. Especially melee.
