Okay this is it:

Imagine your desktop. You see the words but no pictures. Start menu, Mouse, wallpaper, and words for your icons. No pictures for you icons.

And it seem that only icon pictures that don't work are the ones that came with the computer. THe ones that came with a downloaded file work fine tho...

Try right clicking on your desktop and press refresh? If you already restarted your computer and the icons are still missing then it probably won't do anything.

For me personally, I just do a system restore. It would reset the registry keys back to normal. Or unless u have a recent back up of ur own registry keys then just load up that and its done! Its just a glich/bug with the system, nothing serious.

Yeah, it's fine now. Thanks. WHen I reseted, all the icons looked like that one thing where if the computer doesn't know what the file is, like it looks like a white piece of paper (non lined) that has the top right corner bent and inside the paper is like colorful boxes (small)...

I know what you're talking about.

You may have a virus. Scan here:

Um, did you use hijackthis or any other start-up managers to close some tasks? You can't close out a certain task.
