This is an application to become a Downloads Database Keeper. All you do is on a regular basis every other day, check the maps which have been submitted in the downloads database.
This opportunity gives you these responsibilities:
- Must download and run mods and maps to play test them. Meaning, you play them for about 5 minutes to see if a decent effort was made to make them and if the map name is correct, it is not a fake, follows DLDB guidelines, and is not corrupted.
Abilities and benefits you get:
- A 10mb @staredit.net email address, or a forwarder (so yourname@staredit.net will go to yourname@gmail.com giving you 1 gig of mail space if you want).
- Access to the almighty "Staff forum" on this website.
- Participating in the fasting growing largest Starcraft Editing site on the internet currently.
- Able to have more power and say in appearance and features in the DLDB.
- High respect for the work you do.
Requirements:
- You should have enough free time to be able to do all these things. This shouldn't take too long because we will have about 3 applicants become DLDB Keepers. Don't let it interfere with school or your personal life.
- You need an account here and running windows. The more reputation or posts you have, the better your chances on getting this position.
- Committed. You have to be ready to help people and do whats in their best interest.
- Calm. Not everyone you meet will be a shining example of humanity. Keep your cool.
- You need an AIM or MSN to keep in contact with Yoshi.
- If you are leaving temporarly, you are required to tell Yoshi if it takes more than a week so he knows that you're still active.

I have been at SEN for quite some time and know the requirements of the DLDB. I understand the time it will take to go through each file submitted and I will do my best to ensure that nothing below standard will get into the DLDB.

I think I would be good for this position because I show leadership skills and am actively creating maps. I have been a member for some time now, probably since december of 2004. Although this is a fairly new account, I was recently known as Wijock34 and Jmoney_, but i decided to change to this name. I will be up to date and be ready for anything and have completely read the guidelines and requirements to fullfill this required spot. Hey, sounds like a good job for me. As soon as I arrive home from school, I get on Staredit.net, so I could check stuff every day. I am never, ever away from the computer for two days in a row, so I have the time for this

I have been at staredit since 11-April 05. I should be able to keep the DLDB up and runing when i am on. I am on like all day on weekends.

I've been here since the beginning of summer I think, I have plenty of free time and I am fairly active. I also tend to be very picky on the maps I see made, I also like to give comments on how for the map maker to improve, and where at. I have a lot of experience with Advanced Trigger Making, but lack the real knowledge to make Buildings Terrains. Barring school (6-3 pm eastern) I have tons of free time. I visit Staredit.net and have always aspired to be a DLDB Manager/Keeper.
I currently am on a temporary computer, as my other computer died. I recently ordered a new one, and it's being shipped out on the 14th.
I have awesome grammar, spelling, and I know how to write well.
The only thing I can think that would keep me from doing anything would be on thursdays, I stay at school, and get home around 5ish. And I've church on sunday mornings. But hey, that's what other DLDB Keepers are for

Anyways, I'm free a lot besides sports and school, but I am usually able to be on for around 3 hours a day weekdays and a lot more on weekends.
