I remember SENers by their avatar, and I also associate them with their avatar. I usually imagine the avatar speaking when i read their posts.

I know them by name, but when I skim topics, I identify by avatar, since it is so big and easy to see. I hate avatar thieves for this.

I remember them by their names, but I only remember them for what they do, or poeple that remiend me of them or their names. Take JohnnyHazardous for example, I call many of my friends called jon that.

I glance at the avatar, and if I do not recognize it, I check the name. Siggies play a role also.

I scan the post, flick over to the avatar, and if I'm still lost, I check their name, generally it just takes a look at their post and avatar though.

I've been doing this for longer than you've been giving me hea... Er... Since longer than you been born. And I suspose my avatar and my signature and my style of writing give away who I am. Same as the cool little characters in my name such as ` and ~.
