I have many questions in life. My mind is in a vortex with some of them.

1. --- Deleted.

2. --- Deleted. (these two were answered, I guess)

3. Space. If you just take some time to look up in the sky, you probably know by backround knowledge that it "goes on forever." Is it really possible though? Shouldn't there be like a mirror or something at the "edge?" Its really mind boggling for me to think about.

4. About a 100-120(if you're lucky) years from now, everyone on the earth that is living now (6+ billion people) will be dead.

5. Why are the planets almost perfectly sphere? I know there are mountains and stuff, but why can't we be more fat in a oval type shape? We are kind of ovalish, as scientists say, but I mean like really egg-like.

6. People that hate whole countries just because of what 10% of the population does, or what their president does, doesn't give the right for people talk crap on every person in that country and laugh about when people attack it or people die in it. We are all humans and we should just have a life being teammates instead of fighting with eachother...the day we will get attacked by an unknown creature might have a team effect on Earth. But then it might be too late..

7. Along with #5, why have our planets been in the SAME ORBIT for over 5 BILLION YEARS! I mean, I know, because of the sun's gravity, we stay in orbit, but don't you think some part of the orbit would change at all? (There is proof that it hasn't changed in like, billions of years ago or since the earth first came)

8. Will DSL + Cable lower their prices in the future? I am tired of not getting DSL yet because the lowest price is like 35$ a month.

9. Think we will discover an AMAZING technological advance in the next 50 years? (I want to see something happen before I come an old fart). I would really love to see aircraft that can fly at at least 1/100th of light speed, maybe a new kind of technology that would have to do with something with mixing with the air with a weird gas that would create some kind of huge boost. Would probably kill the crew though. And probably not possible.

You can reply to one, you can reply to two, or all of them, I don't care.

Answered in no particular order:

7. More proof the world may not be as old as you think, or that there may be entities controlling it...

5. Matter wants to form a sphere, as it has the least surface area. This is due mainly to surface tension.

4. And replaced with 10 or more billion. *shudders*

3. It's just one of those things. Like contemplating the square of a negative number. Or how the trinity works (If you're christian). It's just too abstract for our brain.

1. The surface of the water is reflecting the sky, giving it a blueish hue.

8. I'm sure that there will be a faster way to communicate and Cable + DSL prices will go down.

2. Wood is organic, being made up of more than one type of element. That does not want to melt efficiently as each element has different melting points. So rather it combusts.

QUOTE(MrrLL @ Sep 13 2005, 03:01 PM)
I have many questions in life. My mind is in a vortex with some of them.

1. In the Caribbean, or any other tropical place, the ocean is a cool light blue color.. But, when you get a glass and fill it up with the ocean water, it is clear or dirty. No colors at all! I know, something to do with the sun and prism effect and all, but just thought about it, still blue even if you stand directly over it...

2. You probably know by now if you had chemistry, that when you heat solids, it causes the atoms to gain energy and speed around, they spread out and turn into a liquid. Heading the liquid will turn it into a gas. But, when you burn wood (paper, pencils, etc) it will not turn into a liquid, it will just burn, isn't that odd? It's like the atoms in wood are deeply effected by energy.

3. Space. If you just take some time to look up in the sky, you probably know by backround knowledge that it "goes on forever." Is it really possible though? Shouldn't there be like a mirror or something at the "edge?" Its really mind boggling for me to think about.

1. Water reflects the colour of the sky.

2. It's called sublimation, it is possible to get liquid wood but you need more than just heat.

3. Space doesn't go on forever, but you're too far away to see the edge.

4. How is that a question?

5. They are, the earth bulges in the middle as do all others, they are roughly sphereical because they compacts themselves under there own gravity.

6. Racists are everywhere, just tolerate them for now.

7. They haven't the orbits of planets fluctuate constantly. Think about ice ages and warming periods.

8. Yes, but by then there will be something else faster and more expensive.

9. We obviously will, ever since the technological revolution we've just been picking up speed.

Thanks for replying kow, and that's what I was guessing for the ocean water one, but it's still wierd how the sky is blue, and not other colors of the prism.

It's because of the wavelengths that oxygen, hydrogen, helium and whatever can reflect well.

Have you been to the end? You dont know it could go on forever it might not.

Yeah, its hard to think of what the "edge" would be. Think about it, it's not going to be a giant wall or something. Maybe once you pass this wall, you will fall out and fall forever or something. Scary thoughts.

Maybe there isn't an "edge" Like earth and planets, they are circular meaning you will be going around in circles. This means space is circular so whats beyond that circle?

Heres another interesting thought. Think about what if their was no such thing as Earth and life or anything... Nothing exists .. It's kind of weird to think of it..

I've always had the theory that the universe is one big loop. Like in asteroids. You go off one edge, come back another.

Well if all the surrent theories are right then there has to be an edge.

I have had that thought MANY TIMES!

It is so awesome getting deep into that thought.

Different times, I do that, then at the very end of my deepest thoughts on it I get a sad, weird feeling inside.

My thought is somewhat different though, I have a thought as "What else could there be instead of 'humans, planets, universes,' what else would come to be other then matter?"

I get the chills sometimes..

I find many of these thoughts just to be a matter of ignorance. I don't think any of these questions suggest some unexplainable answer influenced by some divine god.

Fine a "what if"

What if an alien civilization finds us, and to them our whole planet is liquid. (much denser cell structures they have.) And other things like that, one of the reason we sha'll never contact intelligent life.

i have a theory about a discovery (number 9)

ok we know that different enegry rays exist. so lets say radio waves were able to transport objects through the transfusion of raw enegry. i belive that since they can transmit sound, (another type of enegry) that we can send other things. cause the speaker emits the sound into the air. so in theory we could send objects, except we'd have to figure out how to put somthin into a radio wave.

i asked my science teacher and he told me that it is genius. he agrees that it may be possible. he broke down the fourmla or somthin and said it could happen mabey...

another one lol.

Sound powered cars. if u read above, sound is enegry, scientists have proved that. but ne way cars use some type of enegry to run, so we could harnes the power of sound, we'd have a sound powered car. so it would i guees be electric cause of the sound needed to make the car run. but littler amounts than in a hybrid car.

these are just more of my theories, dont get angrey cause u disagree.

#3: I always wondered what the edge would be like, although it's probably not an edge. I've always wondered how the first thing ever got here, how was it created. People say "God created it", well where did God come from? It can't just appear, there's got to be something to make it appear. There's no answer and there never will be sad.gif

God wasn't created. He always has been and always will be. He is the Alpha and the Omega. The creator and the destroyer. The ... You get the point... God exists outside of our timeline.

Too bad that's just a no good theory. There really is no god. There is proof that there is no god, but there is no proof that there is a god, so whatever, there is none.

What exactley is the proof that God doesn't exist?

There is no proof for him or against him.

I agree with Sniper. I think space, or the universe, just loops, or maybe it actually does have no end, I mean no one has ever reached the end of the universe now have they?

I am a Christian, so I do believe that God does exist. All I can really say is that whenever I am in trouble, I pray to God, and He makes it all better just like that. Like at my school, a Christian school, there was a girl who had an eye disease where she had very bad vision and was soon going to completely lose her vision, but then the class put their hands on her and prayed for her, and she was miraculously cured just like that, and she had perfect vision after that. It was so weird, like a dream weird.

That's a bit outlandish...

There is nothing that proves there is no God, there are plenty of things (Historically in the bible) that exist, to further prove the validity of the bible. (Note that I am not saying there is proof there is a God)
