OK, I don't wanna hear stuff like "Pink Floyd is teh shizna!" or "Led Zeppelin is God" here. Both of those bands are great but if you think they're underrated then insert witty comment invloving a psychiatric facility and maybe a CAT scan. The same goes for the Beatles.

What are some good, underrated rock 'n roll bands or artists from the 60's, 70's and 80's?

Anyways, I can say Jethro Tull a little bit, but it really isnt. Its just that no one on this site knows who they are.

Creedence Clearwater Revival. Only people in their 40's+ seem to know who they are. Sure, they had a large string of hits in a small amount of time, but most people know the songs, not the band.

Megadeth so under rated. Everybody automatically hates them because of their feud with metallica but they are just as good. They have the third best thrash metal cd of all time so they must be doing something right. Another reason that they arent as known is because they haven't released any new albums so allot of people don't even know who they are. Megadeth didnt sell out unlike metallica and although that is "the true rocker way" It fcuked em over in the long run.

The genre "rock" means so much. besides 80's was mostly "heavy" what did you expect? CLassic and heavy can be combined just like in Megadeth's case. Remember when classic was beethoven and mozart? Classic is a bad way to say it if you don't want bands like megadeth in this topic.

He knows the name of the band. Unless he's completly ignorant of google or wikipedia (which has virtually everything, so it's probably in there), he's joking. In short, wikipedia can do a better job of explaining something than anyone on this forum any day.

T-MaStAA, a band with as many albums as MEGADETH and has played over a decade isn't exactly what most people call underrated. I don't think he literally meant classic rock either though.

Megadeth isn't underrated. Walk around and ask people if they've ever heard of Megadeth. If more then 5% says they've heard of them, then punch yourself in the face.
