Staff Applications Ended
The applications for staff positions have ended. I treated this like a real job application almost. What you say during the course of the "evaluation time" mattered a lot to me and told me your personality.

What a lot of people didn't realize, was that I was also judging their conduct over the course of the application time (which is why I made it so long). I was actually taking notes about people's ability to act independently, their relationships/team issues with other people and so on. This will help me weigh a bit more who gets the position.

There was also a lot of people who didn't put in good applications. It goes for any job, that if you want it, you have to sell yourself. Joining because "You're bored", or missing profile felids will help to make my job a bit easier. The amount of effort you're going to give to your section or the DLDB also reflects on the effort you put into your application.

I'll be reviewing all applications carefully and fairly, and you'll have a result by this weekend hopefully.

UMST replays?
Last time I checked, Battle.net did not have a feature to automatically report games to me over Staredit.net PM. Nor do I think I will. So people need to start reporting their UMST games. I only have one team reporting their win. EVEN IF YOU LOST, you have to report it so I know that your team awknowledges that they lost. If not, then I keep waiting for the other result (as it is possible for people to doctor up replays even when they lose, and I have to check for cheating in replays from both sides). Get your games going and report your games!

Well, it's nice to see the applications come to an end.

You posted my answer when I was replying! tongue.gif

Good luck with your decision. I just hope you pick the right people for the right job.

Yes, I was especially repelled by people who went out of their way to advertise or said "I'm bored so I'll have time" when making my DLDB picks.

Of course, funny how no one applying for melee thought of this and didn't post much at all in the forum XD I hope you try to choose someone best able to jumpstart melee forum activity.

Cheers,

Cool, I actually want to see who actually gets the positions for the DLDB Keepers.

This should be intresting, I'm surpirsed that many people didn't apply for the UMS Leader position. Since the site is mostly weighed on UMS.

Never judge someone by their age.

Pascal invented the pascal's triangle when he was in kindergarten. Never judge someone by their age.

@ Voyager

Yeah, wait until someone realizes they have to download 5-6 bad maps. One's that are:

a.) Pointless
b.) Stupid
c.) Buggy
d.) Weird
e.) All of the above

Personally, I am not the DLDB type. Beside's a 56k modem isn't your best DLDB helper-er person!

Which is why I feel UMS Leader is better. My connection will not do anything to that(If I am good enough for a selection...)!

What's so bad about the advertisements? Many were comical.

And once again, Yoshi said "you could even start a whole political campaign"

I'm not that great in all SC games but I do like staredit a lot and I would have liked a position of monitoring some topic... but I didn't know that you were allowing applications... I was in China so I didn't get to visit staredit.net for some time so... yeah... owelll... tell me when you are allowing people to get onto the staff again and how to apply... wink.gif

Ur self-proclaiming yourself a genius? WOOOOOOOW. lets say you really were. What is your reasoning for spending so much time making starcraft maps when you could be inventing a way to live on the moon or something?

Doesn't matter. Beside's, I learned not too judge people by their age because of this site. I was always picturing people from this site, the same age, if not, older than I was. But, the more I get to know people, the majority of them are younger. I mean, WOW, some of them are like 12-13 years old. I didn't have Starcraft until about April-March last year! bleh.gif
