Well you know how the brood war icon is a wraith right well how would i change that..?

Why would you wan't to change it... Anyway, The icon is installed when you install starcraft.
Put your Starcraft Disc into your CD-ROM. When starcraft pops up, close out of it.
Now, Go to My Computer, look for something with BROODWAR on it, Right click on that, And select explore. Now you see the BW 32x32 Icon.
That's the closes I got to it, You can edit it though, But you can't save it.

Or you could right click on the bw icon and go to properties<icon. =/

I think he's just talking about a shortcut to the game, not the icon for the CD.
Just right-click the shortcut, click on the Shortcut tab (if it's not already there), and click on "Change Icon".

I have this program that can edit icons and mouse cursors, I once put it on the download database with some text on how to edit icons but Yoshi deleted them because it wasn't starcraft related.

For my mac i usually just open the app package and change the picture files around... =/

I had that on my old computer, res editor, or something to that effect. I changed my aim icon with it
