I just got my new Alienware computer and it will not install starcraft. I put the disk in and run it, and it all freezes. What do I do? (It's running XP)

Try cleaning your disk. It worked for me.

That happend to me before, it would never load the installation screen. But then it was because my CD was scratched...

Go to my computer, right click where the cd is, click Open/explore, then click autorun or something.

Maybe you got a faulty Alienware. I took my chances and got a good one... But others haven't been so lucky.

I'll call them up (or have dad do it) and see about it.

Good, when I got mine a wire fell off inside during shipping. They walked me through it and now it works. Hope you have no problem with accents.

You makin' fun of my accent? Huh? Huh? What now! Oh!

Yeah, definantly, I'll call them.

ADDITION:

strange...i dont have alienware, yet i bought a new comp few weeks back with XP. I put the brand new SC disc in cos i had to buy it again. And all i heard was my CD-ROM loading up. No installation screen showing up either.

Now all ive learned to do is to run SC then put the CD in and it works.

How do you run it if the disk isnt in? I'm trying to install it.

You COULD try extracting all the files with an MPQ tool, but I doubt it would work...
