[/clueless]

He's extremely well-spoken, and seems balanced and intelligent. He's a good choice (and he's still young and good looking wink.gif).

But most of Bush's decisions for seats of power, just bring in more corrupt people.

Perhaps he has made some bad appointments; this is not one of them. Have you seen the guy?

Two people passed away on the supreme court. I think this first one is a good decision. But, i hope he picks another decent person for the second spot.

Whos the 2nd person who passed away?

Anyways I think judge John Roberts would make a good Supreme Court Judge.

Why The censored.gif are they taking "One nation Under god" out of the pledge?

You censored.gif come here you can live under our beliefs.

Bush is such a blam, to avoid three fights in congrees, he's inviting a total n00b justice to supreme justice of the Supreme Court. Robets hasn't held any bench for more than three years.

That doesn't matter. He's clearly highly intelligent and fair, so experience matter less in this case.

If you guys haven't noticed, 4 of the 9 justices (including rehinquist) were VERY liberal. Only oconnors and one other dude are considered moderates, everyone else was conservative. So even if John Roberts becomes the chief, he's just going to be like rehinquist, very conservative. If the last person that takes sandra oconnors place was also conservative, then basically there's 4 liberals, 4 conservatives, and 1 moderate.

Rehinquist liberal? Since when? He was an old-school conservative.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by Demaris on 2005-09-18 at 22:40:32

He was liberal on a couple issues (can't remember which). Overall moderate.
Report, edit, etc...Posted by DT_Battlekruser on 2005-09-19 at 01:01:25
He voted heavily conservative, but not for the reason that the neo-conservative nutcases like Thomas and Scalea do today.

He voted against Roe v Wade not because he's a right-wing zealot and believes abortion is murder, but because he believes it is the right of the state to choose. Numerous other cases this sort of ting happened.

oops, my bad. Yea he was conservative pinch.gif

No, conservative nutcases are more abrasive and damaging.

hard core lefties and righties are both damaging. But they need to coexist.
