Looks funky. It's almost like a tv control with the analog stick detached.

Yeah, the design looks increadible retarded to me. They basically took their original one and say "how can we censored.gif this up in a way that people can't play with it but it still stays simple with only a few amount of buttons".

I just hope I can use Wavebirds on the thing.

That is one of the gayest ideas I have ever seen. I would really like to go up to the creators and tell them "What the blam were you thinking?"

Turn the remote sideways and it becomes an NES controller (they aren't connected).

I'd like to try the thing out, especially how it detects your movement, before I label it anything, like Chu and Atrey have already done.

This technology makes me interested, more than the great graphics and multimedia of the PS3 and 360.

It looks kind of blink.gif... I want to play with a controller, not a TV remote... pinch.gif

It's being compared to a Keyboard and Mouse, it looks retarded but I really don't know how it feels.

I, for one, am impressed. They said they would make something that changes the way games will be played. They succeeded.

So far, Nintendo's controllers have been far more comfortable than other consoles so I wouldn't be suprised if it's really really good. What I don't like is the single "A" button. The other two are at the bottom. They should place all 3 at the top or something.

Wow I read a lot more about the controller and it's fantastic. There are senors of where the "remote" is at all times which could create slashing motions like virtual reality as if you were really doing it. It changes gaming A LOT Zelda will be a hella more interactive.

I suggest reading this article before bad mouthing it.

If after the first week people don't say how annoying the Revolution controller is (Since it has to be pointed at the screen at all times mostly) it's a defenite must buy rather then my old "If I have money to spare". Yay Nintendo.

Of course, it also means that you can see some weird stuff happen when you throw your controller at your TV in frustration. wink.gif
Personaly, I am not impressed.
It looks horridly uncomfortable. The most comfortable controllers taht I've used, in my opinion, are Playstation and XBox. It feels like there's gaps and weird twists in the Gamecube and N64 controller that hands simply don't fit into...
Why do people not link to the Nintendo site?
I thought it must have been bullcrap the first time I saw it until I looked it up on the official site...

It can't be that horrible.

I'm sure Nintendo has tried it again and again to make sure it isn't awkward in the hand, I mean there aren't all idiots running the company I hope, right?

Let's just wait until we have tried it and seen what it can do.

I've also tried imagining it with a TV remote in my hand. At first I thought it wasn't like stable enough because you can't hold it with two hands, especially since I was holding the TV remote in my left. But then once I tried it in my right hand it felt pretty good. I could hold it and press the buttons while still keeping good control, and I could move my wrist comfortably too.

I also thought the GC controller was really good and fit my hands well.

While its true, the controler has a lot of functionality with the ability to tilt and such, I still would prefer a more stable controller with a few more buttons for advanced gaming.

Though you are very correct, sir. It would most certainly kick ass to play Zelda using that thing as a sword.

It's not wise to judge things before you have experienced them yourself. It's not being a fanboy, it's COMMON FREAKING SENSE.

All the HANDS-ON impressions I've read from websites have given it positive marks. I think I can trust people who HAVE PLAYED THE DAMN THING, than you, obviously a Sony fantard who dismisses devices based on how they look.

IGN - "It feels very comfortable and, as you can see, looks sleek too"
Gamespot - "Overall, despite its unorthodox appearance, the Revolution controller has a comfortable feel."
1UP - "As odd as it may look holding the two separate controller pieces, one in each hand, looking around felt incredibly natural, even more than my preferred PC-style keyboard-and-mouse setup."

Even with that said, making an opinion on your own right now is inaccurate. It just helps to keep an open mind.

So go back to your Lamestation 2 and play your Grand Theft Pointless, kthnx. The only fanboy is you.

grand theft pointless? So because it has a really good storyline, lets you stray away and have your fun and drive awesome cars makes it pointless? I think you need to take that boot out your ass. I'm not a big fan of PS2 but i have it just for GTA : SA.

I'm not going to bother arguing how I think GTA is bad game here. You want a fight? Make a new thread for it. Or in other words, don't post if you are going off topic.

Back on topic: Nintendo will have a controller where you stick the remote into for games that require more buttons. IGN has a mockup, but I think it could be close to what to expect.

Seems like they are wanting more and more money... Really, it is basicly the same thing execept they are detatched. Way to suck out more money from customers.

Um, how is gyro similar to any system we have played so far? You really need to use it before you can make assumptions. Just to tell you, I'm not saying it's automatically going to be great either.

More and more money? What do you think Microsoft or Sony wants? You have the 360 coming in at prices like $400 and who knows how high Sony will go. Honestly, Nintendo brings quality gaming for the cheap. Xbox and PS2 come in at $150, the cube comes in at $100. PSP going for $250? DS sits at a comfortable $130. I don't know what your talking about, but if anything, Sony and Microsoft are out to get your money.

Nintendo has been, to me, the most reliable and best console game producer in all history. Far from gouging us, they've put forward honest, affordable prices.

In other words, I wholeheartedly agree with earlier post.

Let's not turn this into a which console is better argument just because Neiji is an idiot and says:

Which Revelade responded to and put this at the end:

QUOTE

Which wasn't even the main point of the rest of his response, so I don't see why Euro needs to respond to that.

Just calling it a Lamestation makes you a fanboy, and you seem to be an underground person that goes agasint mainstream so you can feel rebel and usefull not one from the crowd.

But anyway.

The mockup your talking about is this right?:

I honestly think the "nun-chuck" combo will be easier to use, cause logging around the ENTIRE CONTROLLER to point at the screen, that's just more tiring.

Also people wondering why they hell they made it a remote is so people who normally wouldn't touch a controller because it looked confusing will hopefully at least try to pick up the Revolution controller. Everyone can pick up a remote control and be famulir with it it doesn't even have as many buttons which makes it simple to use. But none the less it will still appear to vetern gamers seriously, sword fight? Pwnage.

That's not even relevant to the point of this topic. Especially since Neiji called him a Fanboy even before Revelade said "lamestation", which I must seems to be in response to Neiji's stupid post.

God this controller looks awsome and I thought it was gonna be another crappy remote. Now it looks like a tv remote without all the extra buttons you can press that dont work. Oh well controler looks good. Also is that the only color they have for the controller.
