What exactly, is the point of the map? Is it like bounds where you make your own bound or just a regular bound.

My idea for a map like this is having a 32x32 square area in which players have to build there own bound. They get 5 mins and then they have to play in eachothers bounds and see whos bound is hardest and play for points or w/e.

In order to make the mazes I would use a grid of course. 2x2 in each which out of 32x32 would be 16x16 of 2x2. You could use Disruption Web to create up to 8 Addons that cant totally block the end. Then you use use an infested terran to show the exact path that should be followed. And then you have options on explosion. I rate the complication of this map 67/100. It shouldnt be too hard. 95+ has never been done. 88+ only a select few make it here. A very select few. 80+ is for pros i.e. me. but 67 should be easy if u have extensive knowledge in grids. You can use algorithims for pathing. But I hope it works out for you.

@Sniper
-Yes, red gets to make a bound.

@Kept Wheat
-Very nice. But I prefer red gets to make obstacles. I may use your idea for checking if the maze is possible to beat with infested.

Well, what I got so far in detailed mode. (What Is Completed)
I may post a screenshot of it when I get the chance.

At start, you get instructions guiding you. You will get a chooser (civilian) as a selector. For obstacle one, it will limit you to make a explosion kind or a maze kind. First, it will ask you what unit to use. They are Marine, Ghost, and Firebat. After you selected one. There will be the unit you chose in the checking area. It will move your chooser to the next option. You will have to select which kind you want your obstacle to be. A maze or explosive obstacle. I used neutral units such as Rhyandon to check if its a maze or an explosion obstacle. Next, if you chose explosive obstacle, you will be given the option to choose the speed of explosions. I will use powerups units to check if it is slow, medium, or fast. If you choose to make a maze, it will give you the option to select how many units you want. 10, 20, or 30 units is the only option. For instance, if you selected to use 10 units. It will add 9 units to the checker area because there is already the same unit you selected earlier in that area. Thus, it returns 10. Next, you will go to an area telling you to begin building your obstacle or restart. When you select begin, it will move all necessary units from the checker area to an empty obstacle. There will be an unit blocking the bounders path so they cannot proceed until you are finished. There will be a beacon for you to use when you are done. When you put your chooser on that beacon. It will automatically convert all your units to player 12's. I got an idea for the explosion one but it will be difficult to explain in text.

Wow, that has to be the longest post I've ever made in my lifetime! blink.gif

Competitive maps are more fun with more replay value. Also while red makes the bound what are the other players going to do. its no fun when you have to wait for the longest of time for the host to finish his thingy. If you had it competivive where like all of the players make a bound with a time limit of 5 minutes and then challenge eachother to it it hads a little more spice to it. Thus making it a better map. Im a pro dont argue with me. I have skills in JASS C++ VB6 HTTP and a few others. I can also model but not skin. I know 90% of starcraft mapping and 75% of wc3 mapping 99.9% of warcraft 2 mapping and I know a ton of HL mapping. So yes my point is worth more than yours HAHAHAHHAHA

Yes, I have thought about the other players. I thought give them a mini game to play. Well, it's not too late to change to your idea. I will go ahead and do yours. If I cannot do your way, I will consider to stick with mine.

There already IS a bound maker map, called Bounds. It uses a dark swarm firing system to locate your explosions. All players create their own bound and let each other play each others' obstacles, and it is VERY well done. Therefore I don't think there is a point to making this map.

Unless you want it to played differently, of course, though IMO it is not worth it.

Only red?
Shame.
Ratents 'Bounds' is the most popular bound maker out there, and its because of the accuracy and all players get to make bounds.

Make a large arena, accurate explosions, different options like gravity well, etc etc.

I was thinking about making a sequal to 'bounds' where you got larger arenas and could build multiple trap styles. (Implementing some neat ideas, where players could have different goals to achieve in the bound as well as simply trying to finish it.) But basically it would have been too time consuming for me.

You could make it so all players take turns making obsticals
