First of all, SE+All utils means StarEdit, + any utilities you want.
RPGM2K means RPGM2K, + any utilities you want.
RPGM2K stands for RolePlayingGameMaker2000. It's for the PC. IT, of course, lets you make Rpg's.
To download it, go to Yahoo(Or Google, or w/e), and type in "RpgM2k download" or something.
General RPGM2K discussion and/or arguments.

I don't make rpgs. And don't really want to classify any map makers. I'd just rather keep my map tools simple...

It's good for people like me, in that it's simple though, Yoshi!!!!
You see, learning real programming takes up TIME!! bleh.gif
Also, RPGM2K comes with lots of cool sound files, pictures, and, uhh, well, just that!:clown:

I dunno...
RPG Maker isn't too bad of a program; I used to use it, and it can be pretty powerful in some ways.

I guess it pales in comparisson to real programming (or ActionScript, if you fancy), but it's a good stepping stone for amateurs...

I would say something like Sphere would be comparable to SE. RM2K is different though, and you can do more RPGish thing with it. SE is limited by the SC engine, and thus, it can't make RPGs really well, since SC is a RTS game (not that some RPGs for SC aren't good, some are amazing...). You're comparing a RPG engine to a RTS engine, two really different things. At least with something like Game Maker you can compared them somewhat.
