Basically, you all have seen it soming and you all have seen me mentioning it and here it goes. I'll be retireing from SEN... for good. I might come back once in a while to make a few posts, but I won't be returning to the UMS Community.
It's been a long procces of me doing this, but I just felt like I just had to do it know. It's been since May that I've started to dirft out of SEN slowly, I even thought of just going inactive and leaving without a trace, but I know that I've done too much for SEN, that SEN has done too much for me and that too many people honor me for me to leave silently.
Basically, SEN isn't what it used to be back in the old days. I remember when I knew everybody and when I mean everybody I mean all 100ish active posters. Now the community has grown beyond anyone's thoughts of what we ex[ected SEN to be by this time. During the begining everybody helped each other and the likes, it was a perfect community, not too big or small and it had the right feeling about it.
As time passed by I took the job as being the DLDB. I went solo from almost the begining in October 2004 to February 2005 when more DLDB Keepers were added. The job was easy and fun because you'd only recieve 5 files per week and you could write marvelous reviews about the maps.
As time passed on SEN kept growing bigger and bigger and we were in need of a Global Moderator, I asked for the position and got it in December 2004. I really didn't do anything because the Community was very respectfull.
Then as time passed by the DLDB was starting to become too much of a hassle and my Global Mod job became more of a "Babysitting job" because people started doing whatever they wanted making my job impossible. Heck, I even had to ban someone by myself and I didn't have the access to the Ban button. I had somehow managed to ban them manually by many different methods. Then I had the insane number of post Reports, which simply got out of hand for me to handle. The DLDB went in a similar trayectory because there were too many files and far too little time.
Then I started to gradually leave SEN. Each time I became less and less active because I hardly knew anyone, a lot of the people from Summer 2004 (The Golden Days) were gone, and I felt out of place. Now basically I'm unkown and only known as "That dude who was a god at working at the DLDB and as a Moderator". So I bid my farewell to my few good friends that still visit SEN once in a while and hope Good Luck for those of you that stay.
I've also felt the need to leave because I've found other things in life. I have a girl now, a job, I'm much more focused at school now that it's my Senior year and I'm playing World of Warcraft with my dad, uncle and a few real life friends; so I'll be sticking to WoW during my free time.
I still have my website (
http://www.beerkeg.chuiu.com ) here, so if anyone wants it and Chu is ok with it, i'll transfer the files and passwords to you, if not, then Chu can shut it down.
I also have my map (Special Ops vBeta) here in my PC, if someone wants it then feel free to message me for the unprotected version.
These 2 offers are only for close friends of mine.
I'll still play a bit of Starcraft here and then but don't expect much.
If you have my MSN and my GMail, then consider yourself lucky to keep me as a contact. If you want to play with me in WoW then feel free to message me in Archimonde server, character name Kahbrohnnie (55 Mage as of now and my most active character), LilKah (11 Warrior) or ElKay (6 Rogue).
